I noticed that when Lenny dies, Bill and Micah do not even acknowledge it, but Javier turns around and lingers a moment. Much later on, when Arthur confronts the gang over Micahs betrayal, Javier is the only one that doesn’t point a gun at Arthur and John. He points his gun up in the air.
Javier was just like John and Arthur and saw Dutch as a father figure maybe its because Arthur and John listened to Hosea more or because they had wives at some point and if Javier did he would have saw through Dutch
@@tylerwatson9079 when I first played i wouldve never expected Charles to have such a meaningful and or impactful role but i was glad he did, I think rockstar did a good job with Charles.
@@envioustunic6713 it was hard for me to care about any of the new characters initially (Arthur included) since none of them were in the original game. I assumed they were all going to die. A lot of them did, but I’m glad a few survived. I’m happy knowing Charles, Sadie, Josiah, Mary-Beth, Pearson, and Tilly all made it. Charles was great. He was the most rational member of the gang
The fact rockstar prevented rain until after that mission shows how dedicated they are to trivial details. Simply amazing bc most ppl wouldn’t even notice if it did
But then they do something like not have the ammo move when loaded into the big gun lol. That was the FIRST thing I thought when he mentions that detail
And at the same time. They dont give AF about typos later on. At this point and time, all typos have been writen down either in the forums or in Bug Tickets. And they haven't patched jack S. Always remember how much money this game made them. And how little they care afterwards. You might think putting one guy down to fix "typos" is somewhat "expectable"... And im not even mentioning the missing singleplayer DLCs and Undead Nightmare 2 etc. People love this game. But the devs. or rather the company doesn't!!!
During my first play through it hadn't been so long since I had to say goodbye to my dog, this cutscene makes me sob like I'm saying goodbye over again, but a low honour ending is out of the question
Something that’s funny is that when I robbed the house with Hosea I didn’t even know there would be money under the chimney, I just wanted to make sure.
This is the best game I've ever played. Cinematics, lights, dialogues, music, story, game physics everything is out of this world. They really made me live life of Arthur Morgan. I can't believe Arthur is a game character, it feels like he is real human being.
What’s funny is I thought no one was going to match John Marston, RDR and John were my favorite game and character up until I met Arthur Morgan. This game really nailed it out of the park
22:18 during my first playthrough I was distracted by my friend and then out of the blue Lenny got shot, and for the rest of my playthrough I blamed myself so much for letting him die, he was such a great and memorable character
22:25 During this mission, the way everyone stops is how much they truly cared about Lenny, Arthur fully stops, Charles stops for a sec, Micah Bill and Dutch all run away without even checking/looking back, and Javier looks back at Lenny and Arthur
@@microwaveablenukes I think you’ll find that he cared about him a bit more than you think they were in the middle of a bloody fire fight with enormous amounts of Pinkertons and police needed to keep moving to stay alive and Dutch was their leader
@@microwaveablenukes dude Dutch had to keep moving he was focused on making sure the rest find a way to hide he still looked back although he was focused on the gang
Arthur losing his horse and thanking them will always make me cry,on my first playthrough Buell was the horse I had,I didn't knew my horse was gonna die. I promised Hamish I would take care of Buell.
@MrMonkey But then u must have played the veteran missions as John instead of Arthur. If you played them as Arthur then u can't get Buell in the epilogue
@@Blue13GBG12 I played the first three with Arthur and then the last with John. That specific scenario creates great dialogue where the Veteran reminisces about how great a friend Arthur was to him and shows the fish and wolf that Arthur killed mounted on the wall. Then Hamish sees the boar and it goes on like normal from there
It’s moments like 2:59 that made this game so immersive. It was a genuine mistake on the actor’s end but it added a ton of humanity to these characters. To them, they really got into the characters that it wasn’t even acting anymore. Just people being people.
I played with the same horse for almost the entirity of the game. It was that white Arabian horse you can find near the frozen lake. Of course had max bonding. I was happy to see it get a worthy send off at the end.
@@greenknightofwar7024same, I love shires in real life. I got to see one in a person once, he was all white and probably twice my height (I was 8 though). I love that shire in the game so much that when I accidentally died and he got replaced by some random ass horse I went to an older save that was a few missions back, just for that horse.
Mine was a big chonk of a Shire that Hosea brought back right at the beginning of Horseshoe Overlook. I think it was used to carry carriages for the O’Driscolls? I had the option to sell it or keep it. I kept it for the whole game. Was a tough motherfucker
This has probably been pointed out already but Dutch’s line about the game not ending until he makes his final move could also be a hint that he ends his own life in the first RDR rather then be taken by the law or killed by John. He controls his own game and doesn’t like having the power in someone else hands, so he decides to end the game by ending himself
@@calpone6399 never played it on my ps3 but my cousin did and I picked up rdr2 when it was on a 50% sale over a year ago, one of the best video game purchases I’ve ever made
Rdr2 became the basis of how games like this should be. I mean, if play rdr2 and jumped to another game that have horse riding, you'll feel the difference. This game is the greatest for me so far, even if you're done playing the story line there's still a lot to do. Hats off to the creators of this game. 👊
I bought rdr2 for pc two years ago, a few months before cyberpunk came out. After going through the campaign for a second time, I purchased cyberpunk and got it refunded 50 minutes later. It was like coming from a Martin Scorcese movie to your average crappy Netflix show. Most games I played after rdr2 were just garbage and lazy. This industry used to be a lot better.
During the "Who is not without sin" mission once you get reverend on your horse you can go to blackwater and new Austin without getting haunted down by the law or getting shot by the invisible sniper
i think its only limited to blackwater and tall trees area.as soon as you cross the lower montana river the sniper will shoot you even if the reverend is in your horseback..i try this once and i got killed..
Even though its completely possible to wear LoE outfit and complete Dinosaur bones as Arthur rockstar deliberately put kill barrier to prevent people of doing so smh
@Bowie C You can explore New Austin and blackwater as Arthur after the mission Angelo Bronte provided you will reload your disc if you are in PS4 to V 1.0..without using internet .or online..i did this every playthrough if feel bored playing the upgraded version...
@@MaDNeSS1116 its not possible to complete the bones though? i went to a bone location in new austin with snipers disabled and you can't interact with it
Another fun fact about the “Fine Night of Debauchery” mission: At the start of the mission, Arthur’s dialogue with Trelawny will change depending on what Arthur is wearing. If he’s not wearing a suit, he would say “why?” If he’s already wearing a suit (or at least dressed pretty smartly), he would say “what!?”
You can see one of the two "Working Girls", The ones with Javier and Charles, back again in the Getting Drunk with Lenny Mission. Go upstairs to the back left room while looking for Lenny and you will see her with a costumer... You can do this again when you see every one as Lenny... You can also speak with Tommy but he is not very communicative...
19:18 I kept it and named it Zoe. She had almost max stamina and was pretty dam fast. Unfortunately, she was also pretty dam stupid as well. She'd crash into trees when we rode through the forest, trip over the tiniest of rocks, and follow me into the middle of a war zone and block all my shots. But at the end of the day she was probably the best horse I'd ever had up to that point in all my time playing Red Dead. Unfortunately, the poor girl met her end in the final mission of chapter six after getting shot by those goddam Pinkertons. Rip Zoe.
@@diobrando2445 the dialogue hints he doesn't truly care about anyone but himself. this is also reflected in a later mission where he tells another member of the gang to move just so he can sit down
@@diobrando2445 strong and smart, yes. good? no, not really. a good leader doesn't let themselves get manipulated by other people, because a change like that is what makes groups crumble.
@@mylife1221 idk, at that point Dutch wasn't as selfish as he started to become in late Chapter 4, i think it was more that Dutch genually need Arthur to be his right hand but then thinks a little and realize almost everyone in the gang depends of him a lot specially during that time.
6:17 it is not the actual end since Arthur develops latent tuberculosis, not active one. The countdown starts after the mission "Blessed are the peacemakers". During this mission, Arthur is tortured, starved and forced to perform a self surgery. All these suppress his immune system, allowing the barricaded bacteria free to infect, thus causing an active infection. It is no coincidence that after this mission, Arthur first sees his spirit animal.
One that always gets overlooked is the fact that in Red dead redemption (the mission) Javier is the only one who doesn’t point his gun at Arthur and John, he holds it to the sky
I truly believe that if Sadie, Charles, or any dead character who died before that mission were there to back up Arthur and John that Javier would have switched sides
I remember playing this game the first time, I played it without a patch because I was pretty much non internet the time, and I'm almost 85% sure I killed the bear
Blood Feuds, Ancient and Modern is my favourite mission. Nearly the whole gang all riding to Braithwaite Manor and then at the end with the burning manor, Catherine's cries and the music is just perfect.
The scene where Arthur thanks his horse is the only scene in any game ever to make my grown ass cry... I've never been attached to a character like I was with Arthur. I play through until the final mission and then restart the game and save over that file every time now because I can't him or his horse die again...
Another fact about the mission "an honest mistake" when uncle shouts a sentence in this scene, that is the only line in all of rdr2 where the original rdr1 voice actor spoke. He died after this scene.
Technically, the first mission isn't the only mission you can ride another gang members horse. You briefly ride the back of Dutch's horse in Our Best Selves
Arthurs honor effects ALL journal entries in chapters 2-6, not just the magician mission one. And the house in "an honest mistake" isn't empty if you do the Jeremiah Compton side mission
In the home Robbery with Hosea you can also kill them in their sleep or kill them during the day and Hosea will shoot one of them. You can also decide not to rob them and their is alternative dialogue. In the mission were Arthur comes back from Gurarma you can also skip shady belle head for straight to lakey.
Lenny's death was always ridiculously upsetting to me, because happening as it did in gameplay, it's also the only death that feels cheap. There is *_so. much. time._* to shoot the lawmen that come out of that doorway before they kill Lenny. We've seen what Arthur can do with quickdraws. He is repeatedly established as being one of the quickest and most accurate gunslingers around; even when sick and less than an hour from dying in the final mission, he still draws on Micah like lightning in that confrontation. So just having to stand there and watch Lenny get shot when we should not in any way be physically unable to help him feels completely wrong and unjustified. Especially since Arthur audibly reacts to it before Lenny is even shot.
A few more Outlaws From the West-The only mission where Sadie’s cabin is accessible Aftermath of Genesis- Unique dialogue based on whether “Old Friends” was previously completed Exit Pursued by a Bruised Ego- The Legendary Grizzly cannot be killed during the misson. Pouring Forth Oil- If you don’t get the oil wagon, John will eventually do it for you An Honest Mistake- The only mission in the game where the voice of Uncle’s original RDR2 voice actor (John O’Creagh) is heard outside of singing. Horse Flesh For Dinner- Different dialogue depending on if “The Fine Joys of Tobacco” Blood Feuds, Ancient and Modern- The only mission where you can pick up the gold shield in Braithwaite Manor Angelo Bronte, A Man of Honor- The party immediately following this mission is the last time you can see Kieran alive. No, No, and Thrice No- If you spare Anthony Foreman, he will be a bounty the player can catch in the epilogue, the only main story mission to affect that. Country Pursuits-The legendary bull-gator cannot be killed during the mission. Welcome to the New World- The soldiers will beat the player to death if they refuse to keep walking. A Fork in the Road- The good samaritan cannot be found outside the mission. That’s Murfree Country- Molly is the only gang member to be burned rather than buried. Visiting Hours- Sisika Penitentiary is only accessible in this mission. The Fine Art of Conversation- The only mission Rains Fall ever speaks Lakota, even to other tribe members. The King’s Son- The only time Fort Wallace is accessible. My Last Boy- Charles is no longer seen during the main story after this mission.
You can go to Sadie’s ranch after the mission, but it will be burnt. You can also visit it in online mode. You can also take a boat off an NPC or if you’re lucky, one might spawn and take that to sisika penitentiary, so you can get the legendary fish there.
@@finn.25 The cabin itself though is inaccessible (because it’s burnt), at least in Story Mode. And if you went to Sisika itself, you wouldn’t get very far.
A side note, after the Braithwaite manor burns down you can also find a lockbox underneath a floorboard containing a gold ingot. Now this isn't the secret gold that was rumored to be in Rhodes. You can find a body in the marshland north of Saint Dennis with a note revealing that there was a previous Romeo and Juliette couple in the Grey's and Braithwaite's families, who stole the gold and fled to Europe during the Civil War.
19:06 that’s the horse i used until the end of the game. loved the old girl so much that after the time skip to play as john i bought the same kind of leopard appaloosa and gave her the same name
Fainting on foot and then your horse comes and rescues you just makes your horses death more meaningful [If it’s the same horse], I’ve used my same horse I got since chapter 1 all they way till he bled out in chapter 6 😢.
13:52 I heard a youtuber say that the guy in the barn is actually one of the robbers in the old slave trader side mission. ( if you do not know the barn used to be a slave trade in the mission you need to retrieve his old items )
When I finished the Story for the First time I never knew that the cutscenes I got with High honor or High Horse bonding were Special. I had a great experience and this Video clears me up how much I recived by being honorble! Thanks for that, it really open'd my eyes.
Played it twice for the story and a third time for full completion … maaaan trying to get all the hunt stuff is awesome it s like playing a whole new game … I hope I ll live long enough to play another game like this one
The storyline and gameplay to this masterpiece is so good I played through it 7 times... 7 times!! I never been more impressed by a video game in my life Sidebar: RDR would make for a good motion picture gunslinging western on the big screen
I caught him my first playthrough with a very lucky lasso throw, I didn’t realize until my second one that he is supposed to lead you on a long ass chase into a bunch of other kids.
Considering this game was in development for around 8 years just imagine how much more realistic GTA 6 will be considering it's been in development since around 2014 and it probably won't release for another year or two
That fact about John being in the field that is examined last in the hot air balloon mission helps me because a lot of the times I played it I always forgot what field he was in.
10:40 Rockstar could’ve easily just made Bill disappear and spawn him back in camp like every other game that ever existed would do. But, it’s Rockstar, and that’s why I love their games, all the details
In the mission where Lenny and Arther get drunk you can escape the police, it's a bit difficult but it's possible. found that out on my second playthrough
I kept the same horse that I got in "Exit, Pursued By A Bruised Ego" for the entire game, so when it just suddenly got killed at the end I was wrecked.
I feel like Javier didn't want to take dutch's side he seems to actually care about his former brothers it makes it sadder to see him in the first game
Did you know if you don't donate to the lady asking for donations for the veterans hospital it never gets finished. I didn't and in the epilogue it was just like it was when you leave her.
another neat fact about "Horsemen. Apocalypses" after you barricade the door and Arthur tells everyone to get to a certain corner. You can move to another person's corner and if you move to a different corner someone else has there is dialogue of Arthur telling them to go, he has this corner now.
In "The Fine Art Of Conversation" mission, you cannot only kill horses without losing honor, but kill a horse is one of the Golden Medal objectives for this mission.
A bit late to the party but, here's another one about Magicians for Sport: if, after you have examined Trelawney's place and followed his tracks to the bounty hunters, you kill one of them instead of walking up to them, you get a cool cutscene. I don't know if it changes depending on honor or which of the two you kill, but it's pretty cool imo!
Another fact about “A Strange Kindness” is that, although it wasn’t confirmed, it is almost 99% certain that the German family is Juan “El Rubio” Strickler’s Great Great and Great Grandparents.
0:28 Not entirely true. There are some opportunities. I had Gwydion for a short ride in Shady Bell just before I met Trelawny in Saint Denis to get a suit for Arthur. I just saw him without tack, so I tried to put my saddle on and it worked. And some players said they have ridden Baylock. Obviously, you cannot stable (I tried) or bond with gang-horses but it is possible to ride some of them. 16:18 Doesn't Micah always complain? He said the same thing in my current playthrough and I walked through the back door.
17:58 I actually got lucky here by accident, and the trolly thing stopped the kid. Instead of blocking my way to him, I thought it was normal at first till I saw Markiplier play the game.
Bro when the horse died i actually cried and then the shit that happend afterwards aswell cuz i had my horse since chapter 1 and i only used him throughout the whole game
3:40 you actually can see the red head one again in the epilogue cutscene, when the Pinkertons are tracking down John they go to the saloon and talk to the guy John and aruthur sell sheep to and her
Great video ! But just wanted to point out that in the mission “an honest mistake “ the house is inhabited by the same 2 squatters you encounter in Jeremiah compton’s stranger mission when your collecting his things from his foreclosed house. That stranger mission is actually unlocked right after you finish an honest mistake as well .
Another fact about 'Blessed are the Peacemakers' torture/kidnap mission, once Arthur's back at camp and Mrs Grimshaw watches over him as he falls asleep, is the first time he experiences one of the deer/coyote dreams. It's still relatively early in the story but time is passing. Arthur's already shown signs of his cough when you first approach Dutch to trigger 'The New South'.
It is impossible to prevent Lenny's death during "Banking, The Old American Art." Even if you move in front of Lenny or aim where the two Pinkerton's appear, Lenny will be shot dead.
6:13 while you can’t wear a facial covering using the bandana, you can wear the black hooded mask that replaces your hat, while it does visually stop Arthur from getting tb, the cutscene after showing Arthur on his horse has him take off the mask
