I want to fly to Sweden with my goods for a photo shoot. How awesome would that be to get an invite to the Botvidssen studio? Coffee and cameras, I’d get lost in there.
That you very much for the great tutorial. This is why I follow you on youtube my friend. Your lessons are a superb. I have learned so much that I must say THANK YOU VERy, VERY MUCH Martin.
I guess for those of us that have silver C stands, wrapping a bit of Cinefoil around the boom arm would be effective. And it's a lot cheaper than getting a whole new stand - not that there's anything wrong with having a nice big collection of stands ; )
Hi, great video as usual! ;) Can you tell what lens are you using that you don't have to make focus stacking? I usually use 100 mm and for object this size I'd probably do stacking.
The problem with composite shots like this is that it will be more complicated to do focus stacking. Not impossible but very time consuming. You have to stack every shot, and also place the flash on a stand. I always shoot with the 100mm macro lens, the reason I use the 24-70mm in this video is that I want to fit the camera in the video frame, not to have it too far away.
Another great video. So much info in a easy to comprehend way, even for those of us that barely speek Swenglish. I realy apreciate the fact that you do these in a language not native to yourself just for me !! LOL.
Really like your videos! A lot of how-to videos only show what works. You explain step by step and how you assess each shot/what corrections to make. Very helpful!
We actually did record an episode where we shot a bass guitar but I (we) felt that the end result was not good enough so it will unfortunately never be posted on youtube. I do many recordings that never hit the youtube channel, crazy but true 🤨
@@botvidsson Watching it now. Even at the fast clip it's totally easy to see what you're doing. Simple compositing and masking for the most part. That's perfect. Thanks, Martin!
I've gotten some great tips from your videos even though I've been shooting for 35 years. Never stop learning. Although I'm not a fan of the jump cuts, I keep coming back because the content is solid.
Thanks. Great to hear. I’m also still learning every day, it never stops. I know the jump cuts can be tuff but I have no choice. Can’t make 2-6h video tutorials. 😁
De ligger under playlist Tutorials with botvidsson
Hi, I have a question. I use Capture one for live view, i have a nikon d610, is there a way to use an external shutter when I connect a camera to a computer? At the moment I can only take a picture if I click into capture that photo button, I can not click either on the camera or on the external shutter. This is very frustrating and hard because I use a speedlight and I use it from my hand because my stand is used for other things.
Sorry to hear that, I do not know Nikon cameras unfortunately. I do know that on my Canon I sometimes need to hit the live view button twice to be able to trigger. Sorry I can't help better.
Nice video, only observation I noticed is that you guys forgot the S in the name of the brand, because the client would probably notice that right away.
Very nice lighting, if im being picky it would have been nice to focus stack the microphone grill as it gets noticeably softer at the tip of the microphone since its taken so close and has so much depth.
Yes all shots should be stacked but then we had to put the strobe on a lightstand and then a lot of post work... you know, this videos are more so people can get a it inspired.
botvidsson so i’m trapped at home with just some minimum equipment and i was thinkin’ to have some fun with product photography. I have a few nice perfume bottles around like a narciso rodriguez pink bottle, a small black bottle of tom ford, maybe some creme recipients, some cosmetics.i guess none really transparent
It can be a bit tricky to use only one light for shooting advanced perfume bottles. If I had only one light and had to shoot a perfume bottle I would place some kind of diffusion paper behind the bottle (if it's transparent) and lit up the diffusion from behind. Classic and beautiful, then maybe play with the surface, water?
