When i saw "only one person made this" i was thinking shinkai's first OVA project voices from a distant star which was damned good for being one of the first bits of media dealing with time dilation and space travel.
This reminded me to go hunt down Cencoroll (and the sequel I somehow missed hearing about??), an anime I've been intrigued by since 2012 when I first saw Atsuya Uki's work on Tsuritama. Couldn't find it back then, but at least this way I didn't have to wait 7 years for Connect. He used to post on tumblr, and it was clear he was really passionate about Cencoroll, so I'm glad I stumbled across this video to remind me to hunt it down. I quite enjoyed both parts currently out and hope to see part 3 someday!
Hey Mr. Crusader! Nice video as always. I just watched a silent voice, and it was amazing! Are you going to make some vids about anime movies? Your videos made me watch anime again lol.
The idea that people of Japan really don't give a fck about aliens, or other monstrosities, or supernatural fiends has been presented weirdly perfectly in the Gantz 0 3D movie. Talk about surreal that one. It confused me so much the first time I saw it, I thought it was a dream. There are aliens destroying city blocks, and a grandpa and his granddaughter casually comment how they'll avoid the city center because of it, instead of freaking out and running for the hills... the Roppongi hills... (cringe dad joke, I hope you didn't die)
@@CulturedCrusader There is something missing how you stated your question, so I'm not 100% sure what you ask. Are you asking about the Gantz 3D movie? Gantz 0, the 2016 film? Or are you asking in general about the Gantz whole series?
@@sibanbgd100 From Gatnz lore, that's a good point. Still, would you stay at a place like that? Whole city blocks exploding by unseen means, and you just don't care cause you're one block farther? Also it is implied in that same movie, that civilians can see. There was an older couple who defend a young girl. They see the monster.
@@JoTheVeteran it's usually covered up as a gas leak and such, but maybe it's still too much. It's possible they have memory wipers and similar tech considering how technologically advanced their tech is
Wait, that’s how the Chainsaw Man anime is? Because I never got that vibe from the manga. No wonder Japan hated it, being a country of manga readers. Like that’s the reason why spoiling anime isn’t a common joke in comedy anime, like it probably would be if it was produced in America because we don’t read.
I prefer the tone of the CSM anime but tbh I don't think it's that different from the manga. I think a lot of the differences are just due to the mediums.
