I'm in the early stages of elementalist where I pick an attunement then faceroll the buttons and then pick another attunement. I'm just starting to remember to overload before leaving the attunement 😂. The crazy thing is that switching to Hammer after leveling up with Staff has made a huge difference. Every time you change to a different weapon it really is like learning a whole new class again.
So I took this build for a spin. The Regeneration granted is nice when carrying a Meta or T3 rift group. It's really nice to be able to grant 25 stacks of might and regen to a to other players even when the build is "selfish". Reminds me of Herald. I'm tempter to take the Alacrity trait as well.
Sure, you can take the Alac trait if you want during metas to buff other players. But it will be a bad idea if you'll do solo stuff as you'll lose a lot of heals to keep you alive
Thanks for the build. It encouraged me to get started on tempest and im doing core tyria and there is so much nice mini stories like resecuing Miss Mipp. Itz kinda squishy now so i have to be on my toes 😂
As a main elementalist i found this build so fun, im working hard for my fisrt legendary weapon and i dont know what i will pick, dagger, sword or hammer seeing after your video, ty for the content!
Very nice. Heading into the game now to look my Tempest over for this. I do have to blame you for one thing, Johny. When you put out a new build, it makes me abandon everything to try it. You are feeding a GW2 attention deficit disorder. I'll never be happy with just one main. lol Fortunately, I'm enjoying this predicament quite a bit!
As a new player to Elementalist, i am really enjoying this build! About the utility skills: what could be replaced, if we wanted to have a more supportive/defensive build??
I'm really glad to hear that! Here are some other utility options: 1- For an extra stun break: Armor of Earth 2- For more cleanses: Cleansing Fire 3- For more sustain: Signet of Earth ( leave on passive ), Flash Freeze, and After Shock
@@GamingTutorialswithJohny for PvE group content - I created a Druid, and built him after your video :D Sadly Arenanet changed a lot and the build doesnt work anymore ._.
I am very sorry but it seems like with my current schedule, I may not be able to do the Druid build soon. I'll still try to work on it, just not sure when
Is it possible to make a variation of this build more focused on strike damage rather than condition? I'm not a big fan of condi build for open world unless it's a weaver.
I'm sure there is, but I'll wait till the Nov 28th balance patch before I make new open world builds. Afterwards I plan to post more builds. But FYI, this build will still be very good as it is even after the patch
Correct. But it's not a mastery line or anything. You just need to do a bit of the SOTO story ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4OTJ5KazS0E.html
Ive been wanting to try out Sword/Warhorn varient of this build and also other ele specs the same, do you think solo content is going to be gimped by not using the hammer?
Sadly the build with the setup I explained in the guide will only work best with Hammer. It can potentially work with other weapons, but it will not give you as much sustain or damage
@@Slywowzer and you maybe cannot immediately resummon them, because your skills could be on cooldown. It feel like a bug and is a little annoying, but it isn’t toooooo annoying either :) been playing a mage alt for almost 10 years now and then. A fix/change would be appreciated though 😇
Yes you can, and I have tested it myself. 👍 But keep in mind that Bounties are always tricky. Most of the time it's less about the boss, and more about the random bounty buffs / mechanics they get. Some combinations of them make it very hard to solo any bounty
