With just a hour and a half before dinner is ready, Z and I head out to grab some raw shrimp and do our best to see if we can catch a catfish at the river. I wasn't expecting much but, I am now hyped to try and do some more catfishing for sure!

I hear those livers are catfish candy for sure! I am super glad we did. Time was ticking and mama bear was giving us the count down to get home.

Interesting stuff. Raw shrimp are so soft that they can be ripped off easier than other bait. I have only used them in the ocean, but found that other baits will last longer and stick the bite better (pieces of fish with the skin on for instance)

I am probably going to build up to using cut bait. But, I was familiar with using the live shrimp in the pier video so I wanted to start there. I am pretty sure we lost a few to the current.
