Yep, every empty fertile soil pit has only 3 worms and they don't regen. At all. So, as result you can only get 14 rows from one pit (5 by default + 3*3 from compost). Which may sound as a lot.. But not really. Probably in just few day civilizations specialized on baking will starve to death without any soil left. Btw are you from some former soviet country? :)

I'd like some natural disasters, the apocalypse feels too overboard. Like the bear attack idea, I think it would be better to weaken civilizations and also have decomposing after a society is dead, so no random Eve can loot and become totally packed afterward.

TrueProGamer It's because the ability to make tech more modern isn't in the game yet, it's in development, so basically the apocalypse can be triggered quicker. The game is a civilization building game, so the apocalypse is basically just a reset button, and once more content is added, the requirement to cause the apocalypse will be much greater. Pretty sure OP posted what I said, but I dunno if you saw it.

Well think about it like this. The game would become too easy if there are no resets. :) If new update came, people would easily achieve it when they have some crazy city.

(taht for every endblock) and you need end crystals wich are made by putting a bloody knife in something idk its name. so it will take a hecc lotta time now

he should make a daily cooldown on it so people can actually develop a bit so someone cant just speed grind the exact things they need and run in real fast and reset everyone. or something. I looked at it and so far since the update it has happened 5 times! I dont play but only watch gameplay vids but if I spent like 4+ hours rebuilding to suddenly get everything wiped AGAIN I would probably stop playing or something :P Its a cool idea mind you, it just seems like it needs a lot of tweeking.

He could make something other then apocalypse for example a cold wave that force people to stay inside a building and slow them down but to wipe out everything is frustrating people invest a lot of time in building society.

Holy crap. He made the game and misses the point of what makes this game so addictive and fun to watch. His logic is silly. People are literally recreating the history of the planet Earth playing this game. Their motivations to continue playing when technology stagnates for a while is the same reasons real humans continue to build an flourish society with no new advancements. It's the human condition being explored in this game, not some desire to always build a society from scratch only to continuously blow it up and start over. So what if everyone goes through his content in hours. Everyone was still having fun and creating bigger and better societies. Secret police forces and oligarchies were just starting to form naturally out of necessity when he decided to do this apocalypse nonsense. This should be a prescheduled event that only affects certain servers every 3 months or something only for players who like a challenge. But for those of us who just want a persistent world to live and grow naturally, their servers should be left alone to grow organically like in the real world. So what if a kingdom last an entire month with no significant new technology? Do you know what humans did when they stagnated technology advancements in history? They reinvested that energy into the arts. Make an update where people can express their more creative nature during times of technology stagnation. That would be way more fun an interesting than triggering the apocalypse to force people into repetitive seeding of civilizations only for them to be continually erased. Where can I post this so the creator can read it?

I agree but the RP that turned in to griefing could be good there were people making secret police forces to stop people from going around with a knife and killing people. Idk I personally thing it adds a realistic part to the game you know?

I actually enjoyed the RPing aspect when food scarcity wasn't a problem. Being a town guard was quite fun, ensuring no murderers or property destroyer came.

Guys, IDK why you hate the apocalypse update. The apocalypse update was a good idea for the developers to come up with and update the game. You see, without the apocalypse, people will be bored of the game and not find it interesting and challenging since there are way too many settlements to find.

*AHC_Z* Yes, but allowing players to reset the game on their own is NOT a good idea, as many trollers and griefers will try and destroy the world whenever they can. I agree the servers need to be reset for more fun, but trolling people will reset them too much. I would much rather have a system where the developers manually reset the servers everytime they add a new update. Then it would be a controlled system that would only be resetting the servers once every few days, instead of this system we have in place now, where trollers reset the servers 2-3 times a day. The game doesn't just get too boring with too much stuff; It also gets boring with too little, when you can never do anything without knowing it will be reset and thrown to waste in a few hours. There's just something so dissatisfying about that.

Dalton Miller, I agree with you on that one, the developers must have updated it that they are the only ones who can reset the game, because their are lots of trolls that just reset the game for fun. Without any selfish dumbass (kids who are bored of the game but still plays it anyways just to ruin people's fun), the apocalypse update is actually one of the best updates for the developers to create. But dumbass kids decide to use it for the wrong purpose. So it's not the developers fault either. It's the player's fault ( and by I say "players", I mean bored dumbass people).

*AHC_Z* well, let's learn from real life shall we? One day, one Roman city faced a huge mountain that erupted and destroyed a lot or stuff. And that's why natural disasters is a good idea, because it weakens a society without completely destroying. But then you might think that someone could just return to it and get everything their and rebuild it effortlessly because all the tools are there. Well there's things that fix that too. Erosion, Weathering, Decomposition. Put it simply, instead of a built society, it'll be a wore down, mostly everything broken and turned to dust, tree grown over all natural walls, like the adobe or wood ones.

What if someone doesnt believes in karma? And it shouldnt be free. It is a 1 man project and it takes a lot of time. + that this game could be the dev's hope to avoid bankruptcy and stuff like that. and its worth it for me

Not anymore, nowadays Apocalypse is very different :) So these monoliths now just reminders of the past.

Honestly you can probably just run out to a crappy area with some maple trees and hide it behind the tree. It will be completely covered up by the tree. The only way anyone can see it is if they cut down the tree. Plus its more fun then simply destroying it when you can force the griefers to waste time trying to find it.

@@shaunslone2969 It is fun because you can start over again making the whole game fun again. not just sitting in a town seeing how people do their stuff. i tried to move away from my hometown but realized i was too noob v (died from starvation at the age of 40 because i went afk) (i accidentally left my hometown in the search of clothes (the basic one) :v)
