The way parker looks just so.. distressed this whole time is horrifying. Imagine seeing your best friend disappear in front of you out of NOWHERE. scary.
I feel so fucking bad for Parker in this. Unlike anyone else, he WITNESSED Charlotte disappear. I felt the anger he had when yelling at the officer and he is completely in the right.
Amelia was probably in the middle of a yoga lesson, judging by how she arrived on the plane. Of course, she could have also just been practicing but it's something to take note of.
Yep. The officer who thought Parker was a nutcase is a huge jerk. Why did they even hire Officer Goetz as a police officer in the first place if he is just going to crack jokes about the disappearances and being so rude?
Imagine being in Parker's situation your friend disappears right in front of you while you're both arguing about money nobody believes you and your friends and others think you might've killed her and said this to cover it up absolutely chilling.
Dang, poor Parker, all his friends think he killed Moldy and the local police are actively mocking him. I wonder who else is gonna be called, since we never really learn of anyone close to Scenty and we know that Soda Bottle leaves the plane, but something tells me he’s gonna lie about it to try and move past everything. Either way, the plot thickens
im assuming all the interviews will be of the ppl shown on airys season 3 website, so kylie (the mustard girl he works with) will likely come in for bryce, and garret (the waterwelon guy) will probably be in for amelia, hes just by process of elimination tho
Everyone laughing at him… Dude I feel so bad for Parker… He really was telling the truth. He was the ONLY ONE who saw one of them disappear right in front of him, and everyone just thinks he’s crazy… Even though he’s the closest to the truth..
I HAVE NEVER CLICKED SO FAST EDIT: I LOVE HOW PARKERS AND CHARISE’S ARE ANIMATED DIFFERENTLY (showing Parker’s panic) AND WOW THE ARGUING AND WOW- Edit 2: why are y’all liking this stupid cliche of a comment
Not really related but Ava is some sort of book, judging by her rectangular shape and her last name being “Ledger”, as in “ledgible”, meaning readable. The jerk officer is also a dark blue/green object of some kind
Ava is so awesome, I’m glad these characters are being interviewed by someone as kind as her! I especially love Parker’s expressions in this scene. The clear distress and unease upon hearing the mean officer’s voice, the surprise and hope when Ava asks for someone else to escort him, the thankful smile he gives Ava when it’s confirmed that someone else is coming, it’s just, so great. You can really tell what he’s feeling throughout the whole interview from facial expressions and body language alone, and that’s something I really really appreciate about this series! :D
I really like how Parker's description of what happened is stylized differently to Charise's. The heavy shading, detail, transitions and thin black line art in contrast to Charise's scene, with the thicker pixelly line art and minimally detailed backgrounds, is really good at showing their feelings towards the situation and how they think about things as characters. I was already excited for that part of the video because I found Charise's to be extremely charming, but knowing now that all of them will likely be animated differently and say something about the interviewed character? Thrilled
Thank you for pointing that out. The reason it’s different, is because unlike charlotte, Taylor came back. So the first room is white and happy because the Taylor arc was sort of resolved, but the charlotte arc isn’t, so it’s dark and gloomy.
@@MatteoGaldamezAlso, the fact that Charisse, seemed worried, just more in a teenage, she’s probably fine, way. So her more light mood, made her room light. Parker (My name :D) was horrified, because well, he witnessed it. Knowing what had just happened made his mood darker. He was obviously more scared. Which made his room darker.
oh gosh, 2:21 when he goes silent when the cop starts mocking him, with that pained expression--I know that exact feeling. It's that feeling where you cannot speak because you know you're either going to start crying or start shouting. That's such a real thing. Also when he talks about the way the police treated him when he went to them for help--I've had a similar experience when going to the police for something and was not taken seriously. The acting and animation here are so, so good and make everything feel so grounded and real. Incredible work.
I went through these exact feelings too, it hit so hard seeing how this was so well done, almost so perfectly. And I never usually see shows do this anymore. ONE is just so special to me deep down in so many ways…
I never expected to see someone word these exact feelings, it frustrates me when no one understands it well like in the exact way. Wow, I have to learn from you man, you perfectly described those emotions.
At the start of the tape Parker is portrayed amazingly at being paranoid and broken. Notice how he gets shocked by the the door slamming, and loses his shit when the officer denies him, and then fights everyone outside xD
parker's fear and anguish genuinely haunts me. like, he cares about charlotte so much and is horrified. gonna be real i almost cried watching him suffer so much
j just realised how comedically suspicious it is to come into a police station saying "my friend, who had a large amount of money, which I felt I had been cheated out of, conveniently disappeared in front of my eyes"
Mild swears are a thing I rarely see in object shows and if there are any of them they are mostly played out for laughs. But ONE certianly earned the mention of "Hell" because of how it impacts the tension of the scene in 2:33. It reminds me of how Bojack Horseman uses the F word so sparignly. And I know for a fact most viewers are gonna freak out because they heard their favorite show say a swear word but to quote what I read from someone: "There are no bad words, just strong words."
they also use crackhead in this episode at the end, but it's kind of hard to hear. I assume cheesy is able to get away with more vulgarity because it's technically not still in the object show ballpark like ONE was
I like how cheesy animates his characters without premade mouth and eye assets, like he just draws them freely each time, it really allows him to show the emotion the character is feeling perfectly by drawing the face exactly how he wants in the moment
Parker seems traumatised from the incident and who could blame him, after his friend disappeared right in front of him police started actively mocking him and now he has literally no idea where she went.
it’s the weight cheesy… you animate with long pauses, long moments of focus on the characters emotion, and this is such an easy thing to do on your side, but for the viewer it just sinks so well, and also the sound design is so detailed, there isn’t one thing that doesn’t fit. you are so good at controlling the atmosphere and composition of your world it feels like I’m watching this through a real playback of the investigation. thanks cheesy, keep cooking
Those cops are actually unprofessional, he is freaking out and distressed about the situation he just experienced and they are acting like it’s a joke, if you think he’s lying, you would question him about it which Ava is trying to do. My god
the emotion in this is insane. I felt Parker’s rage bubbling up in my stomach as the cop started snickering, i was hoping he would slam the table and he did, so thank you for that. Hope that guy gets fired or smthn. Love the guest animations they really add to these interviews!
The twist with “the Taylor witnesses” is crazy I am so excited to see where this goes. I think it would be funny if Liam made his own season and started getting the contestants airy listed.
It’s insane to see that this series is continuing, we get more insight into characters that never really got any spotlight in the OG series. Props to Cheesy for not only making a REAL Liam plush we can use (and also take to therapy), but ALSO give us more ONE content! Sure, it may have been a year, but better late than never, right?
just how worried he is for her and the fact that she had a larger group of friends who were all happy to chip in for her treatment despite the mold being caused by her own carelessness, it rly makes me feel like we only rly got the see the worst side of Charlotte in the main show. She was probably a solid friend who others felt they could rely on (and I'm sure she liked feeling like ppl could rely on her) but is completely unwilling to rely on others so when put in a situation where her friends had a chance to pay her back for that kindness and it was rly in her best interest to accept it.. she ended up spiraling and self sabotaging instead. and then ONE happened
i love how when charise and parker describe what happened they have their own little “artstyle”. like, they have this short animation that has a style different from the normal ONE style. charise had a simple, silly style idk and parker has an “eerie” kinda style(talking about this part 3:01 )
Again, the date this is uploaded is the SAME EXACT date of the video taking place. I wanna talk about something, though. This is one of those episodes that’s is just completely serious and dark that it almost scares me how realistic ONE can get. Especially at 2:55 , we can see that the animation really shows Parker’s extreme panic of the situation. I think everyone can agree that ONE is just a really great show.
You know, i arrived to the ONE fandom really late, when the series was already over, but it feels strangely good knowing that in a way it's back, and i'm here to witness it =)
I really like how Ava command to send out another officer to pick up Parker knowing Parker is not comfortable with the the Jerk officer. And the fact she actually listens to what Parker has to say despite sounding unreal. Because of that she's my favorite character in this series.
the fact that the police station is corrupt and unprofessional makes this world from the first batch of characters feel so inclined and connected with out current world.
I would just like to mention the fact that the pose Parker makes at 2:42 (or even 1:05 [if you mirror it] take your pick) is almost exactly the same as in the photo found in the planedatabase (admittedly however some details, like the water bottle or the chair are missing) , even the background is almost the same, perhaps this miniseries was planned too
This just shows how thought out this series is. Parker watched her disappear on purpose, circle disappeared in BFC for a reason, it’s like this whole thing is perfectly put together
I just appreciate the fact that this object show actually thinks outside the box and is actually way more interesting than just another same old game show like the others.
i feel so bad for parker espically now, seeing his friend disapear and with more time of her being missing going by she is slowley dying and he has no way to help her
For some reason I had a dream about an episode of this about Liam on the ceiling with texty as his “job” idk what the hell i took before I dreamed about that
I can say a lot, and i mean A LOT about how great this short episode is, but i will just limit it to the fact that i just love the voice acting here is, it ain't like a Hollywood type voice acting, but it feels genuine, every character has different ways of saying stuff which adds to their realism, not everyone talks with the same tone, nor with the same care, the contrast between characters like Parker, who is about to reach full insanity out of the situation he is at, and other characters like Airy, completely isolated from reality and just speaking in a monotone voice, like he doesn't even enjoy what he does shows a lot more about these characters than what we would have gotten if they had generic voices, they don't sound like they're forcing a tone, they sound like genuine people from different backgrounds entirely
i love that people in One managed to put a lot of nuance in the voice acting, and that applies to the monotone voices too. best example to show this is when Airy shows off how he can make clouds. the voice is monotone all the same, but that does make the changes much more impactful as that is built upon, you can actually feel the smile of excitement as you hear Airy learn something new, i absolutely love the voice acting done by everyone involved in the series
Cheesy, you’re a genius! This spinoff allows for more character development that were BTS objects that never got further explored in ONE. Also the production quality is as amazing as always btw, huge shoutout to your team! Plus, I love the fact that the animation style is more versatile with different characters and elements.. so, so cool Anyways, definitely continue this series because it would answer so much from the perspectives of other people.
Nice!!! I like the animation that starts at 3:11 . It is interesting that some people were not taking Parker seriously... Seems like something realistic to happen...
HOLY CRAP THIS IS SO GOOD! the changed animation styles clearly represent how they felt when they disappeared. charises is more goofy because she thought nothing of it at first, but parker’s whole world was turned upside down seeing one of his closest friends disappear right in front of him. also, HOW THE HELL DID YOU GET BROMBO LOL
You know, knowing the *amazing* (read sarcasm) track record of our real world police system and how that one officer fully laughed in Parker's face, I expect he's probably going to be put on trial and arrested. On completely false charges that literally cannot be disproven. I never knew that ONE was able to pull out such new and interesting ways to make me depressed and pissed off.
That’s honestly horrifying, your friend literally disappearing into thin air then the police mocks you and your other friends think your a murderer… maybe the next person will be baby tomato’s mom
Charlie was gone for the time he spent asleep, i doubt someone would have caught up that he disappeared because Charlie's family was probably asleep during the whole time Charlie was in the Plane
I love the whole ONE series and this spinoff. All of the characters are insanely cool and deserve attention and love. Thanks Cheese, you gave us a great show
i do wonder what the result of all this will be considering taylor's descriptions of the other contestants and the fact that they DID go missing at the same time, will they end up actually believing them (especially parker?)
Yeah, especially when Moldy seems to be the kind of person to push everyone away from her... not to mention she has committed petty theft at some point in her life, which would further drive people away from her.
I absolutly love how genuine these convos are !! It almost feels like it's real. Also I feel bad for Parker, he got snapped at, then his friends thought he murdered Charrolett, then got mocked by the police out of all people ?? :(
Second episode and it is amazing. First of all,the acting is phenomenal as I literally can see the anger of a character when they lose someone which means a lot to them 2:27,most object shows don’t do things like these but I can see why as ONE is a object show more focused on real life than challenge to win whatever. Second of all, even if I do get the fact how Parker is mad and he was arguing with her because she didn’t spend that money on the treatment she had to spend it on,which is obviously something to be mad about,I do still feel bad for Charlotte as she basically didn’t seem to ever get out of there and we did see that her mold was getting even worse as she was literally growing fungus on the right side of her head, where the mold is. And third of all,it just doesn’t look like the episodes are gonna get worse from here as I can see how good was the acting of this episode, even if this isn’t even one and this is just a mini series about investigations within the lost characters, now hear me out,it’s kinda unusual to say this but I feel like ONE investigations could be the best mini series In the entire OSC,as if the acting is this good then holy I can’t imagine if he even makes a third season considering the fact that sometimes the characters acted like this within the main season one and two,now obviously it is pretty unlikely that he will make a third season but we could be expecting more plushies soon with the fact on how hard did the Liam plushie make a hit on makeship with more than 6k sales of it almost reaching to 6.5k. So here it’s is pretty unlikely we can see a third season on how it revolves but it could happen, not saying it can saying it could. Out of all this 5 minute mini series episode was a masterpiece even if it was 5 minutes long. 10/10
WOAHHHH BRO GOT HIS DUMPY REDUCTION SURGERY 🤯 Also I'm hoping that in this spinoff, maybe the last investigation can be of someone who KNEW AIRY so we can maybe get more info on him! That'd be rlly cool :D
Oh my God YES! This is so good, I’m at a loss for words. I’ve speculated for SO long as to what Parker did after Charlotte disappeared. I could ramble on and on about everything I think about all of this but either way this is great!
the acting here felt so genuine! I could feel parker's emotions as soon as he began thanking the detective and relate through them as someone whose seeking for mental health help was not taken fully seriously until I got a doctor with actual empathy and who had one of the diagnoses I was seeking. Small personal tangent: I'm a late diagnosis of autism, I had a hunch I had it for a while, my oldest brother showed symptoms and once my youngest brother was diagnosed I began pursuing the diagnosis a lot more. For reference, at the time I was about 17-18. I'm the oldest. I wanted actual accomodations for work etc. that people would take seriously instead of just "i need x because i feel like y" but everyone was like "you don't look autistic" or "you didn't have many delays" completely disregarding the experiences I remember and have told them. It took me about a year of searching and pleading with different doctors to be taken seriously. Once I got the doctor who also had ASD he resonated with my experiences and diagnosed me fairly quickly. I was so grateful, he was amazing. All of those feelings came rushing through the screen as soon as I saw the way Parker was reacting and also being treated by the people he was seeking help from. Bravo Cheesy, you did real good here. Same with the previous one, everything has felt so damn genuine. Thank you.
I already love the direction that this is going, and being someone who loved One, i and the rest of us are excited to see what's next The way Parker was so jittery, angry, and scared was so perfected in such a simple art way and somehow i felt for him a little bit which is honestly extremely impressive for such a simple art style! I loved this!
