Im the GM at Home Depot and we here at the lumber department would like to extend our most humble gratitude, with the skyrocketing prices of lumber we have been really struggling to make it into the black so much so that layoffs were eminent. After the legendary party on isle 17 business is booming and we owe it all to you Jojo. Sincerely Home Depot "How Doers Get More Done."
i was in home depot the other day looking for the perfect 2x4- not too many knots, minimal splinters, etc. i remember hearing 20-30 seconds of this song coming from the aisle over, started poppin my shoulders subconsciously, and then walked over to investigate. thats the last thing i remember- i woke up covered in WD-40 and someone elses shoes on. my heart had a tranquility to it that i havent felt since first time a tried a Danimals drinkable yogurt, which is incidentally the first time I heard the original Creed song. what a journey.
This is GOLDER THAN GOLD!!!!!! All of us middle aged dads who grew up in the 90's collectively thank you Jojo Lorenzo for your service to the Dad community and what you've provided us with. It is because of your dedication to our idols that we are able to wake up every morning with stiff knees, look out over our back lawns before slipping on our New Balance 608's, drink out morning folgers black and sigh simultaneously with relief and frustration as we look upon the eastern sunrise to guide us to our daily challenges.
The world wasn’t ready when Creed came onto the scene but Creed was ready for the world. Despite society never accepting Creed for what it was, they never languished. They just waited for a time to reappear, and that time is now. We don’t deserve them, however, they keep coming “with arms wide open”.
I was in Home Depot the other day and heard lots of grunting over by the lumber section. I walked over, turned the corner and saw nine dudes wearing construction belts, helmets and nothing else engaged in a full blown orgy. They were pumping this jam, doing nitrous, spraying each other with WD40 and looked to really be enjoying one another. It’s a testament to Creed’s legacy that butt rock still has the same effect on straight men 20 years later. Amazing!
I've been looking for this song ever since a spontaneous dance party broke out at a Home Depot about a month. One of the best moments of my life, glad to have finally found it
I’ve been listening to this since a week or two after it was uploaded and man, it seems to fit the mood of the year so far for me. It has all elements of life in it for me; sadness, happiness, relaxation, content with what is happening. The video alone shows great love and we need more of that. We need more music about love in the world, there is a lot about hate, and murder, gangs, better cars, more money, I think that’s why I have a love for dem, dubstep, house, lo fi, its an art piece sometimes made live right there. Let’s bring love back into the equation of life. I close my eyes listening to this song and remember all the things I’ve gone through and I’m still here and I don’t want to throw my life to a corporation , to the chains of debt, to the chains that are controlled by the 1% its a glorious feeling. Gives hope. I want land, a small house and to live on my own have a little job helping people. Thank you for making this piece.
@@TheShane12341234 Shouldn't take much to get the appropriate releases from the band and label. Yes, I know Wind-Up Records are no more, but I'm sure Craft Recordings (the successor and issuer of all Wind-Up re-releases) could grant a release without having to rely on distributor UMG (which fuck them because of the whole TikTok factor). I'm sure Scott Stapp would get a kick out of this mix.
I had a nasty burrito the other day with too much hot sauce. Unfortunately I was on the toilet at the Home Depot unleashing the hellish beast while trying to buy roofing supplies. The only relief came when a bunch of what i can only imagine were some burley lumberjacks in red flannel shirts and jeans opened the door and I heard this song on the PA while they were singing and humming this in a super low tone of voice. My bowels immediately relaxed and evacuated itself without issues. 🎉 I now play this 24/7 in my bathroom speaker. I have since continued to eat nasty burritos on a regular basis..
I am 40 year old. Heard it the first time Instantly in Love with this, discovered on Instagram reels. Brings back so many memories and reminds of those crazy road trips! Such a surreal experience. Great work.
I’m also 43 and saw creed live in 98 on the small stage at edge fest at molson park.. they performed for 10 people who were taking a break from the main stage full of 30,000 kids
I'm here throught Book Club Radio and I'm so glad for it. Because here's the thing: I'm 100% addicted into your work. Listening your sets the whole day and learning a lot from watching you. Please keep posting your work. Cheers from Brazil! Hoping to have the chance to listen you live! Big Up!
I'm sure it will eventually. I'm sure there have to be clearances and releases that have to be done with the band and the label that took over all re-releases of albums recorded through the dearly departed Wind-Up Records, Craft Recordings.
As both a massive Trance / Progressive / Melodic House & Techno aficionado, as well as a big Creed fan from the late 90s / early 2000s, I’m so in love with this ch00n! Totally has major “2024 Summer Anthem” potential… Hoping for an eventual Book Club gathering down here in Atlanta in the near future ☺️ (And the sample overlay from Portishead - Roads is a beautiful touch. Another favorite classic of mine)
I found you on I, Awhile back. Definitely happy to have found your sound. Keep the smooth beats coming, and the no phone on the dance floor party's pumping.
That's crazy this has jumped the pond! I was down at my local Bunnings enjoying me $2 snag, I heard a banging over in the lumber section.. Thinking a live demo is happening i wander over to find a dance party as all the old tradies having a blast while this tune beats out of the arranged makita heavy duty bluetooth speakers
Randomly heard this on Instagram, know nearly nothing about creed except for a couple of their hits, but had to find this on RU-vid to enjoy the whole thing. It’s beautiful!
