This is a 1980 episode from the now off-the-air daytime serial One Life To Live, commercials and all. I hope RU-vid will post it. It's on my channel because I was one of the studio cameramen that shot it. This video uses copyrighted material in a manner that does not require approval of the copyright holder. "They call these age spots, I call them ugly". Watching this back then in my early 20s, I would have ignored those commercials. Now I'm googling Porcelana to see if it's still available. IT IS!!

It's do-able. You can start with Ryan's Hope in the morning, then go into One Life To Live (radio) at noon till 2 or 3. Then watch the full episodes of Young and Restless, from 3 to 6, GH 6- 9, and of course, Knots from 9 to 12. It's a lot of watching, but better than anything on TV, these days.

Amazing! For 1980 this seems very 1960s in the music and the slow pacing. Seems like they were paying a lot of attention to older horror thrillers with that scene with "Dr. Ivan Kipling, who scared me witless back in the day! I remember being fascinated by the storyline on "General Hospital" of the murder of "Diana Taylor" (with "Heather" writing "Anne" in blood next to her dead body!) but the story of "Dr. Kipling" stalking and trying to kill "Karen" was truly terrifying to me!

I feel like ABC soaps in the early 80’s were more like on a fantasy level and did have an older dated kinda vibe which made it unique, and had a different identity, and the music too. Mind you this is a few years after soaps switched from organ to more orchestra style.

Seems like this was that era right before the focus turned to the Buchanans...So many beloved characters were soon dropped for the "Urban Cowboy" craze of the Buchanans. I had been watching OLTL since about 1975....Kept watching all the way through to the end. I really miss OLTL !

I did not watch this far back but it is so awesome to see Judith Light before she was on the sitcom Who's The Boss ( that is how I knew her best besides movies she did for tv during and after and other tv shows )...here on One Life, I think she is wonderful....and the famous court room scene is her best, that I have seen here on youtube and on tv when it was highlighted

Whatever happen to Ivan? I was real young and watched OLTL sporadically, couldn't recall the storyline, but I know he tried to kill Karen for something and he escaped? Then several months later, Karen and Larry were kidnnapp by Ivan and taken to an island? I think I saw the promos on ABC were Ivan gets into a fight with Larry and falls into the water with alligators? Several years later they brought Ivan back from the dead and he plotted something against Dorian or Casey? But the next thing I know, he just suddenly disappeared or it wasn't explained what happen to the character ? Just asking, if you might know.

Wow, what a rare find. An recorded episode right off the true ABC feed. I mean, station airchecks are great, they're rare to find too. But this however is a diamond, can't find it too often even if you tried. An obvious way to tell it's the feed fed to stations is the black on here for station breaks.

Apparently, Jacquie Courtney and Bob Woods(Pat, Bo) were slated to be THE couple on paper and many ideas including them going to Paris for a major remote.happened The usually fun and willing Woods speaks with venom about his leading lady to this date. The off screen chemistry was zero which may be why this supercouple never came to be.
