Tim's range is rare for a basso profundo, but what impresses me even more is his vocal agility in each of his registers. He's doing subtle, crisp, clear runs down in the depths of hell and up in the atmosphere ... and everywhere in between. Thanks for doing this one! Aside: Doo wop is home for me, too. My dad used to sing all (I mean all) of the songs on the album growing up, and he's a fantastic singer, so great memories.

I courted my husband during this era, and still know all the words by heart. My kids grew up with it. Their dad and I would move the table and roll up the rug and teach the kids how to dance to this stuff. Good times.

Tim says if you want to sing really low you HAVE to learn to sing at your highest range. Love the look on your faces when he went that high. NOW check out HF's version of Mayday if you want another shock.

Ironically, HF has a song named "One Man Band" so when I first glanced at your title I thought it was that (another great song BTW). Can't go wrong with Tim from his doowop album, so either way is great.

Another great rendition by Tim Foust. Love his new cd with all the older doo-wop songs. His voice really suits this genre of music. We know he can really bring the bass but how about his falsetto? He has a 5 octave range. I have always loved these 2 songs from 1960 "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow" by The Shirelles & "Stay" by Maurice Williams & The Zodiacs.

Tim is a fantastic singer and performer. A little detail, I love that Chris Chatham are grooving in the background. There is a older video with Tim and his old band, where they sing "Edge of glory". It's so Worth a watch

SO GOOD! Love that Tim's bringing back doo-wop 🥰 (Now we know what a 5-octave range really sounds like❣️) And to think he might have gone into dentistry or teaching and we would've missed out on his musical genius 🤯 This is so unbelievably fabulous! Hahaha, Tim was just showing off his 5 octave range for ya. He’s something else isn’t he? Yeah it’s funny he normally sings in the basement, then goes up to the attic and then when he talks he’s back in the basement. I’ve heard him in concert and his voice goes thru you. Daniel's smile says it all. How can you not smile at this? The entire album is just as fabulous. If you haven't heard it yet, run, do not walk, and listen to it. This is the music I grew up with, so it's so much fun to hear him do it justice.

Love this. Tim's range is wonderful. His friend from VoicePlay also a bass singer with range Geoff Castellucci also has his own channel where he does LOW bass covers. His newest one is "Man Of Constant Sorrow".

One of the a cappella groups Tim was a member of in his younger days (still is, technically speaking) is The Alley Cats, so he comes by his love of doo-wop honestly. There are numerous videos of him performing with them at various birthday and backyard bashes.

To top it off three of the men in Home Free are song writers. Tim (bass) has written "What's Left of My Heart", "Snow Globe" and "Land of the Free" among others. Austin (long curly hair) has written "Love Me Like That" and the 3 chapters of "Stargazer Trilogy" among others and Chance (on his channel) "A Whistling Lad". BTW they each have their own channel(s).

Tim is amazing. If you would like, listen to...Tim Foust and The Charismatic Voice. She talks with Tim about how he became who he is. It takes nearly 2 hours on RU-vid. It is best to do on your own. I saw an interview with Tim by the where in my words he said to sing in the basement you must practice singing in the attic.

The thing to keep in mind is that Tim is the ONLY voice or sound being heard. He takes a page from Peter Hollens and is using multiple recordings of himself singing ALL parts harmonizing to the main line, and even the instrument back up.

Tim has a 5-octave range....he was a Tenor 1 in High School and then he grew up and his voice went south to bass and now we have this amazing singer who could literally sing ANYTHING.

Tim has a 5 octave range. He says to be a good bass you need to work you higher range too. This is him singing all of the parts in this song. I don't know if you know but Austin has his own RU-vid channel. But so does Adam Chance the other true bass in the group. Of course he sings baritone most of the time, unless Tim is singing a lead. Enjoyed watching your reaction to this song.
