Since I installed the Atlas headrest on my embody, I no longer have the flexibility in my back. It seems stiffer and the lumbar support presses too much into my back. It's a shame about the money. Now without the headrest it's much better for me

I just ordered the Herman miller Embody gaming chair yesterday and the Atlas head rest for it today lol. Hopefully they both come around the same time very expensive in Canada for both but thankfully the chair is on sale this week for 20% off. Now both are on the way come Monday or Tuesday they should ship fun fun really looking forward to this chair and headrest.

@@Cr0nk I'm old enough to know what I want and need in a chair. And I'm not disappointed worth every cent for both.

I feel like I bought this chair for the wrong use case scenario and want some opinions. I find sitting upright in the embody fairly comfortable although not as comfortable as my Leap V2 (6'5 200 pounds with long legs just for reference). When I recline in my Embody and use it to watch TV (positioned a few meters away as opposed to using it for Desktop use) I find my tailbone gets very sore and it is not as comfortable as a recliner. Also when you recline the embody I feel like my legs are being lifted off the floor. The Leap's recline doesn't change at what height my legs rest at. I guess the chair is more intended for use at the desk and ought to be used in an upright position with the occasional reclining rather than prolonged hours reclined and lounging? Is that your experience when reclined/lounging on the chair for long hours?

I would say, I have my chair at the most upright position 80% of the time (for work or gaming with keyboard and mouse). I occasionally lean back on it just to mix things up or playing games with a controller. But overall, your assessment is correct, its most definitely designed to be used in an upright position, the lean back function is okay at best for me.

Do you feel springs in your gaming embody seat? I got mine last week and feel springs in random spots, especially if not sitting 100% perfectly

Got my embody gaming chair 3 weeks ago. Due to my poor posture, took me a week to adjust to it. Had some lower back aches the first few days sitting on it and was skeptical about the chair 😂 now it's completely gone and very comfortable and I've been tightening the back too little by little. Hope you got used to the chair already

@@LittleFishBigMind I thought the back was super comfortable from day one. It fits my spine well. However HM is replacing the chair for me due to the seat issue.

Agreed I noticed the headrest slightly moves back every time you lean

Yes it is so bad because it does not stay in place. It runs away from my head. No point. It is just something to feel lightly on my head, but if I use it to rest my head, it loses all functionality. First impression, it is terrible

Where did you buy the armrest cushion?

If you are interested in the armrest cushion, search for "Aloudy armrest" and you should be able to find them.

Tighten the tensioner to the max with an Allen Key to prevent sliding. If you happen to strip the bolt. Atlas Headrest will send you another one. I asked. The headrest should be on your neck and not your head to fully support your head and neck from sliding + feels comfy.

You can't really complain about it not moving freely enough, at the same time you gripe about it not being satisfactorily stable. Your criticisms are a bit contradictory, and not entirely legitimate.

If you're having an issue with the headrest slowly sliding down or sliding back when you rest your head on it, you might not have installed it correctly There's a knob on the base of the arm that controls the tilt tension. Make sure that it's firmly tightened. That should increase the rotation resistance and prevent the headrest from slowly tilting back. There's also a screw in the middle of the arm that controls the amount of force necessary to slide the headrest up and down. Make sure to tighten that one as well. If you're still having issues after that then idk. You might have a uniquely heavy head or a defective unit

4:00 He literally demonstrates that and goes into a discussion about it. His commentary 7:25 is about how the system doesn't really work well for him. This is something I've also found to be true.

In the expensive that's all it really is you could live in India for a year on that money but I suppose you wouldn't have a comfortable bottom
