I don't understand what he's saying, but I can hear the feeling in his voice, also see the lonely expression on his face, and listen to the mellow guitar serenade you...that's why this song is so good and fits perfectly for 5 centimeters per second.
I searched the web for the meaning of this song. I found the rumor that Mr Yamazaki made it after his girlfriend died in the Great Hanshin earthquake in 1995. But it also says he started writing it in 1993 and finished it in 1997. I don't know what was his initial intention, but I believe he finished the song for the love that he lost.
erin mandapi i read the english translation and its all bout hoping for sum1 to return even though he/she know that its impossible to happen..myenglish suck sorry.. irony and agony and its base on real life experience thats y its very soulful and emotional
Did you ever had that feeling ? Looking for a person who no longer exist, hoping you'll see that person again. When you know that it would never happen. Not in this life.
I'm 12 years late but the audience felt his love, passion and pain as well. And the same could be said to those beyond the screens who js watching or have watched the video.
LA trraduccion de esta cancion es Simplemente hermoza y nos pasa a todos, eso es el gran poder del artista, Despertarnos sentimientos, no importa el idioma!!!!
"One more time, One more chance" (1997) Lyrics, music, song by MASAYOSHI YAMAZAKI Masayoshi Yamazaki's fourth single. Released on January 22, 1997. Released by Polydor Records Japan (English translation of the rough meaning of the lyrics) What more do I have to lose to make your heart forgive me How much pain must I bear before I can see you again One more time Seasons, don't get lost, don't change One more time I want the time we spent together to come back Whenever we've disagreed, I've always been the one to break the ice. Your selfishness made me love you even more One more chance I'm stuck in the memories of those days with you One more chance I still can't choose where to go next I'm always looking for you... somewhere around me. On the platform across the street, in a back alley window. Even though I know you're not supposed to be here If I could make my wish come true, I'd go to you right now There's nothing more I can't do I'll hold you in my arms with everything I have If all I wanted to do was distract myself from my loneliness, I'd be happy with any woman who could take your place, But I can't do that with any woman but you. It's a clear night when the stars look like they're about to fall, And I can't hold on to my feelings... One more time Seasons, don't get lost, don't change One more time I want the time we spent together to come back I'm always looking for you... somewhere around me. At the crossroads, in my dreams... Even though I know you're not supposed to be here If I could work a miracle, I'd show you right now A new morning, a new us, a new me. I'll say to you the words "I love you" That I've never been able to say to you This song was used as the theme song for Yamazaki's first movie, "Moon and Cabbage" (directed by Tetsuo Shinohara, 1996), which was a long hit in Japan. It was one of his best-known songs in his early years. A single was released in conjunction with the release of the film, and became a hit, selling over 300,000 copies in total. It was also included in the album "HOME" released in 1997.
Although I don't understand a single word of Japanese, I can thoroughly feel the sorrow and the message this beautiful song is trying to convey. BEAUTIFUL!!
You can see the emotion in his face while he's seeing this song. You know the song is amazingly good if it can even bring the singer, much less many people to tears.
I watched 5 centimeters per second when my girlfriend left for college. I was looking for some romance anime to make me feel better. Needless to say, 5 centimeters per second and this song didn't really help. But I listen to this song frequently because I am always hoping to see her even though I know she isn't here.
When he sing the last line "If I could ever live my life again, I will be at your side all the time, saying the word 'I love you' we never had the chance to tell before" that's the hardest part. You could be the best couple but fate is harsh and decided to separate both of you
@faizfuck true...also the tone and melody of the song fits with the anime movie perfectly...so much that i think its composer composed it uniquely for the movie only.
