In this video, I'll share another use for the dies and punches in your collection - creating masks and stencils! I know you love finding new ways to use the products in your collection, and this will give you another great use for your dies. You can create masks by using acetate window sheets and cutting them out with dies. This will create masks and stencils which you can keep in your collection to use with blending brushes, sponges, or spritzers to create beautiful backgrounds or nice focal points for your card projects. This is a great idea, Anna! I recently made some masks using a plain circle die and a plain rectangle die. The inside piece of either can be used to create a halo or border around a focal point. The outside pieces can be used as well. For my Easter cards, I used the outside piece of the rectangle mask and ink-blended a sunrise in the center of my card. Then I stamped a floral silhouette over the top and added a greeting. They turned out so beautiful!

Thankyou for your wonderful message at the end as it makes so much sense ..I try not to listen or watch the news even when others have it on the TV as I find it disturbs any peace and joy I am feeling ..I just craft when able and Thank God for every day and all he does for me 🙏 These are lovely cards 😍and I must get a couple of punches as die cutting is sometimes difficult until I get an electric machine 😊

You are SPOT ON about not feeding our minds with “all the things”. I was deep in denial about my own thoughts being the cause of my anxiety and depression. I left Facebook a couple years ago. I have not watched the news for more than about 15 minutes a day for a couple years. I water my head garden with Christian music and RU-vid card making videos😊 I recently made some masks/stencils on my own and I’m loving them. I got my blending brushes and some Stampin’ Up! Ink pads- so awesome!! I have been playing with blending and stencils all week so this video hit the spot! Thanks for sharing- all of it. ❤

What a great message Anna! I too listen to Christian music, read a devotional in the morning, talk to my positive friends & craft. Of course, there are other parts of my day, but I learned years ago that I try not to get too caught up in the news of this world. Sometimes, I think I should be better at keeping up, but it's a way of protecting myself. I like how you said that we weren't "created" to know everything that's going on in the world. Living a country lifestyle for years and now an island lifestyle, I can see how God intended for us to get our news...through our friends and neighbors and people we interact with. If we carried the burden of every single person we didn't know who died, or every war, or every "fill-in-the-blank" we would go crazy...and some people do. Thank you for the insight.

The leaf stencil card is so lovely. That is my favorite today. I, too, avoided the "news hour." I was experiencing enough within my home of 8 people and my parents' needs. Christian music and the Word of God in so many of the lyrics reinforced that God was and is in control, and He is not taken by surprise. ❤️🐧🩵

Neh, news is news, an overrated, exaggerated, sensationalized narration of events by the media. I occasionally pay attention to keep myself informed. But, I remain aware that not all it is said on TV or online is the truth. I agree, the news is the source of much of what is wrong with people these days 😞. I occupy my mind with positive things, I love my scrapbooking and card making and that helps. I tried to make one of those templates with a sheet from Over the Stamps, and it must not have been thick enough because it jammed my layering leaves punch....😢.
