You know what I love even more than riding Transformers? Watching the The Transformer meet and greets! The loud rockin’ music, the way the giant bay door opens up to reveal the Transformer, and observing how all the guests react (especially if they are newbies and have no idea what’s about to happen!) I’m not even a fan particularly, but the presentation of those character meet and greets is just the best!
The mummy is also my must-ride ride at Universal. It's the perfect combo of dark ride and beginner friendly roller coaster, with great theming throughout queue and attraction.
I think you pretty much nailed it! I've done all of these attractions except for Velocicoaster (will never do because I will die) and all are on our must do list. 👍🏼
I start my day in PoE at Croissant Moon! However, my PoE "must do" is the Chirstmas Shoppe! They make ALL the fudge for the entire resort there. You get the freshest / best batches of the greatest fudge in the Universe there! LOL! It hurts to see my GOAT flume ride, JPRA, not on this list! We need a list that doesn't include VelociCoaster or Hagrid's for those areas! They're too obvious and overshadow a couple great attractions!! Great list Vincent!!
I have changed the way I rate rides for friends and family. I give a range of the ratings I have heard from vloggers and friends in the past[ and how the ride has rated higher or lower over time for me. Examples: - MIB was 5/10 initially, but with park nostalgia and the competition I now give it a 7 and a range of 5-7 - Gringotts was 9, and is now 7 (fuzzier video and harsher spinning that shoves you around in your seat.). It gets that 7-9 range - I have heard Velocicoaster get a "6" by some, who just don't like how it throws their particular body around in the restraints. So I would tell people Velocicoaster is a range of 6-10. (yes, I have no life!)
For me, I am NOT a fan of coasters but I love thrill rides. And yes that means I do not like Hagrid’s even if I was a coaster guy I’m sorry lol. But I did try Forbidden Journey and it was SO worth it!
I agree with you on these save for a few things. I wouldn't put anything under Transformers except F&F, which is just aweful. That "ride" needs a complete replacement. I see that park getting another coaster after Epic opens to replace the party bus disaster. Transformers is fine to ride once, but I wouldn't wait longer than maybe 20 minutes to ride it again. A must do dining place at that park is Central Park Crèpes!!! Also, Hagrids is a must do at least once per trip, but forbidden journey is a must do for every day spent at IoA.
Sadly, not everyone can afford to go for that long 😕 some families only get one, maybe two days max. This video is very helpful for those of us on a strict budget!
Start the day wearing dry-wicking gym clothes or a rashguard long swimsuit (ie: something light that isn't uncomfortable while wet) and comfortable walking shoes. Rent a locker - it is worth it - and pack a FULL change of clothes (something comfortable to wear for the 2nd half of the day), as well as flip flops. When you're ready to do the water rides, go to the locker and change into your flip flops. Have LOADS of fun on the water rides as many times as you want. I do recommend a hat or visor to keep water off your face. Once you are done with the water rides, dry off by riding Dr Doom or Hulk a couple times 😂 Then head back to the lockers and change into your NEW outfit. I like to bring a washcloth into the bathroom with me to wash my face and just stick it into a ziplock after. I also apply some baby powder to my body...just helps to feel dryer. Also change back into your comfortable walking shoes, as well. Now you are refreshed and in clean dry clothes for the rest of your day in the parks! 🎉
