First in German, then in English: Ich fange gerade an, Mundharmonika spielen zu lernen. Prost! Now, in English: I am just beginning to learn how to play the harmonica. My friend/collaborator of RU-vid fame, Alex Paclin, suggested that I get a set of your harmonicas because they are the best and Seydels are the primary harmonica that he uses. I started with the 1847 Blues Silver and I love the sound and quality of your harmonicas so much that I bought all four of your Skydiver tremolos, the two Sailors, the Fanfare Stainless Steel (my favorite for the incredible tones) and I just ordered a Seydel Lightning in “C.” And I have only been playing for two months! When I get really good, I want to get the chromatic Saxony Orchestra. Thank you so much for making such a great product! I started off with the other brands (Fender, Lee Oskar, and Hohner) but even I can tell the huge difference between those and a Seydel. Quality means everything! Cheers!
Fantastic! What a great video! It gives such a nice glimpse into the wonderful world of Seydel, and all the friendly faces. I’m glad you captured footage of the 1847 LE. I have LE. 066/166. I keep it on my coffee table as a conversation piece for all visitors to enjoy! I can’t wait to see you all in Sept. Thanks for posting.
Wahnsinns Film. Unglaublich, was man in dem soooo fernen Klingenthal beherrscht. Ich muss immer wieder feststellen: YOU ARE SIMPLY THE BEST
Great video! I love your attention to detail and your focus on craftsmanship!! I just bought the summer edition Session Steel when I ordered the triola gift packs for my kids for Christmas. It plays like a dream, fast and smooth!
A great video showing off your wonderful company, showing off each important aspect of your company, the shining moment at the end of the clip would have been to zero in on at least one very happy customer somewhere in the world taking that same instrument into his/her hands to complete the story. Wonderful all the same and thank you.
Keep on. I am glad that there is fully German made oldest harmonica company is running on. Please make great production keep your heritage up to the mark..well wishes from me
I have some of your harmonicas!!! They are wonderful!! Saxony, Fanfara, De luxe Brass, De Luxe Steel, Classic!! I love them!! Thank a lot!!! I would like to have Symphony and Volcany, and one day I will buy one!!
So proud to own a piece of History. A product of timeless tradition perfectly mixed with modern techniques makes Seydel one of the premier Harmonica makers in the world.
Wow! Amazing Family. Great video!!!
Great video! I didn't know that it was Seydel who introduced the steel reeds for harmonicas. It was fun to see the process of the harmonica creation accompanied by music in German style :)
Hope someday I will own a harmonica, especially the chromatic and play all the Christmas melodies. Want to visit Seydel - nice blend of traditional engineering and modern technology
Thank you for making the steel reed Sailor tremolo. The tuning is accurate and stable. The chords sound great. I have 3 keys of the steel reed Sailor and would like to get a Skydiver some day.
I've played every type, style and brand of harmonica out there. then I received a Seydel as a gift. WOW! everything I've heard was true. Tone, tone, & more tone. Doesn't hurt that Charlie Musselwhite plays them too :)
i love seydel because motivated me to create a page and youtube chanel where i upload tabs and videos playing those tabs. Tabs from many styles like Tango, from movies, anime series, some blues, rancheras, norteñas,etc. The first seydel i got was the Seydel big six blues harmonica, and as soon as was try, immediately fall in love with it. Then my mom gave me a cool orange comb-silver cover plates Blues session steel. I was surprise at how easy was to made bends. I am still a beginner but seydel harmonicas makes me feel like a pro. here is a little video where i try to play some cool song with my seydel session steel i love seydel
Vielen Dank
I have few years old Seydel 1847 Silver and the white comb is getting very yellow :(. I always store my harmonicas in box and drawer so no uv light. Is it normal? Or this yellow coloring with age could be avoided?
I like the contrasts in this video. Sophisticated machines make the parts but they are hand-delivered to the next team member. Everyone strives for tight tolerances and high standards while they are wearing jeans and sneakers. The rooms all seem to have huge windows making the facility look more like an artsy New York City loft rather than a factory. There is lots for people to identify with in this video. Can I get a harp hand-polished by the CEO?
i got a cheap Harmonia set probably made with alot less care and attention which is why I broke one open to see what was wrong with it wish it worked, needed it in that specific key which also brings me to here
I love their sound and look. I admire their production standards. The thing is that for someone who is just starting, they should have a model with "numbered holes." Perhaps that's one of their key elements in their signature style (NO numbers), but this is what kept me from buying one. ☹
@@YESFILMS ah... in that case: cheaper models have numbers. Like Session Steel range. But even as a newbie you'll stop looking at the numbers pretty fast. I'm no expert either, but I don't know when was the last time I looked at the numbers. You just learn by feel after a while.
If you look at every single Seydel that they put out. They're better. However, once you start 40+ for a harmonica, it's all preference. I prefer Hohner because I use overblows.
I can not buy a Seydel harmonica in any store of music instruments here in Belgrade - Serbia. They got it HOHNER and some chiness harmonica, but Seydel not...
now you know who braught the harmonika to america and gave a black man a voice GERMANY Black-Dutsch German Native Indians joined with Blacks to fight the Racists hahah GERMANY BABY THANK YOU FOR THIS WONDERFULL INSTRUMENT
