Yeah, the employees who work so hard... I certainly couldn't sit in one of those booths all day! I did a performance for the staff, playing the harps on the factory floor where they had been produced. It was an amazing experience!

@@Learntheharmonica so nice of you i wish i could go and learn how to tune them i can already make one from scratch and repair old oen but tuning is a bit sketchy as you can allways remove brss from the reeds valves but never add any so you better get it right the 1st try

I have only played Hohner harmonicas. I played my father’s Marine Band since I was 6. It was given to me when I was 8 because I showed great interest. I have a Tremalo and a Chromatic harmonica but I love the diatonic the best. After over 50 years my first Marine Band gave up. I bought a Special 20 and I love it but prefer the tone of the Marine Band. The new MB was harder to bend but found out it needed to be broke in. My sons weren’t interested but my grandsons want to learn. They are both getting harmonicas this Christmas.

German made Hohner harmonicas have always been way better tuned than any other brand I'm aware of which is noticeable particularly with diatonic instruments that don't use equal temperament. You don't have well tuned Japanese harmonicas outside of ET, and in fact my Seydels also don't come close to my Hohners when it comes to some sort of compromise of just intonation. So Hohner must have some very skilled tuners doing their job.

23:19 Did that harmonica get sanitised after he played it? Sure human germs and viruses take a week to die or less, but I'd rather play my harmonica untouched by another's mouth. I also sanitise my hamonica before playing it, but I'm asking really more out of curiosity and minor concern.
