It’s okay to be “the Walther channel” if you want.

I was in the U.S. Army in the late 80's. As an M.P. we trained with the 1911 and the Baretta since they were phasing the 1911 out of the service as our daily carry. When we were cleaning the weapons after the range sometimes weed have a pile of parts on the table and it was easy to see how a slide or barrel could be mixed up and end up on a different gun. The one I used was stamp dated 1945 of manufacture! I was blown away that I was using a WW2 era pistol that could've been battle used or possibly by either of my grandfather's or any number of uncle's that served in the war too! So to me it's not a big surprise that sometimes military pieces parts got mixed up here and there. If you saw the tables in the armory with many different platoons and companies cleaning anything from the Baretta up to the Ma duece and everything in between, all at the same time,it was quite a trip to see all of that weaponry together. Great channel and thanks for sharing your valuable knowledge with us.

In „Standarte“ you have to hear the “e” in the end, it’s a more oldfashioned word for group of soldiers or a military flag, not sure about size etc but Wikipedia tells me in the German SA there were 4 groups, made of brigades which in turn were made of Standarten and then further divided into Sturmbann , Sturm, Trupp, Schar and Rotte…. The Standarten could carry names (like Feldherrnhalle) Also on Wikipedia about the SA: The SA also had several military training units. The largest was the SA-Marine, which served as an auxiliary to the Kriegsmarine (German Navy) and performed search and rescue operations as well as harbor defense. The SA also had an "army" wing, similar to the Waffen-SS, known as Feldherrnhalle. This formation expanded from regimental size in 1940 to a fully-fledged armored corps (Panzerkorps Feldherrnhalle) in 1945. and the Feldherrn Halle is a Memorial from Pre Nazi times (not a beer hall) and the building still exists in Munich today (not that silly Nazi memorial, that was torn down after the war), it’s located at the inner end of the ludwigstrasse (a Feldherr is an old word for a military !leader)

A suggestion, Peter xxxxxxx American Museum of Walther Guns, as a virtual museum, good 360 photos, and all info that is obtainable about each item, or a collective virtual Museum with different "Rooms", Peter xxxxxxx, Legay-Collectibles, and so on, So we all could enjoy all these guns that usually is hidden in a gun vault.

The easiest way to tell that the manual didn't come with the 1904-vintage Colt .32 is that it mentions the .380 version, which wasn't introduced until 1908.

I had to look it up. "Feldherrnhalle" is spelled correctly. Modern Germans would spell it "Feldherrenhalle", but that would be wrong in this case.

Pineapples were raised in aristocrats heated greenhouses attached to the mansion. Just a few with exotic flowers and roses. The plants were often used as centerpieces with the green fruit on the stalk and could be rented for a banquet setting. Remember, these are people who also went nuts for tulips there for awhile

16:01 Serbian here, in Serbia all firearms made before 1945. Are considered historic or collectable weapons and can be obtained without any kind of license, we only have to report the weapon to the local police station. As for more modern firearms, licenses to carry and our right to defend ourselves we're pretty much screwed...

Sorry. Im not that clever. Germany was a European POWERHOUSE. After WW1 the Country was devastated and falling apart in every way. Hitler came in and campaigned on the promise that he would restore Germany to its former greatness. Putin has done the exact same thing in Russia, promising to restore Russia to the former greatness of the USSR. Any similarity with the recent election is not intended.
