Thank you for such a peaceful video. Beautiful craftsmanship and the machines perfect for every task. Resulting in a very stylish bag. I'm 71 and discovering RU-vid rather too late, there are so many crafts I would have loved to master. Looking forward to many more videos.
Truly beautiful, truly excellent craftsmanship ~ a fantastic piece of art!!! A few questions: 1) do you have a pattern or dimensions...2) What brand chisels do you use...3) what brand of adhesive do you use in this video...??? Thank you for sharing your skills!! I liked and subscribed!!!
Beautiful Bag, Wonderfully done. Glad I found your channel 💙 never seen a strap like that. What's it made of? Looks delicate and difficult to put together, Eeek lol
I am a beginner. I had a copper punch made with my brand name so I can burn it on but the leather shrinks when I brand it. Can you please give me any advice. Much appreciated. Pamela. Tasmania Australia
We do not know the exact circumstances, but heating to excessive temperatures can cause leather to burn or shrink. You need to find the right temperature and pressure.
Use water to dampen the leather then use a mallet to emboss the leather. This is how most will use this tool. You can use it with heat but this requires a temperature controlled machine so that you do not burn the leather. Unless you want to do pyrography but then you will ultimately be burning your leather. And in turn will cause shrinkage which youll have to compensate for. All of this is up to you and what kind of "style" you are looking for in the end. However i would highly recommend using water and mallet method to emboss ur brand in ur leather made products, as this is what i do. When done correctly should last as long as the product it is on. Hope this helps!
@@hungryleatherworker danke doch Du weisst ja, sind beide schon tot🤷 doch wer weiss vielleicht sind die ja irgend wo im Universum/Galaxie immer noch cool😎
nice video, but it was really disapointing to see you use a sewing machine after you had just done some hand sewing. if you hand sew, then you should hand sew the whole project, not just part of it.
