No need to be obnoxious about it. You can still respect and admire an animal logically without the need to condescend. The coming generations won't have the opportunity to bask in such beauty as we slowly ruin this world for them.
@@xiro3212 Better for chickens to get to live a calm and peaceful life on a farm before being painlessly killed rather than get eaten alive by a predator in the wild.
I've had an Americana like that, but my most friendly/cuddly chicken ever was also an Americana My most maternal chicken has been an orpington. My two meanest birds...also, and oprington 😅
you made up those chicken names. i refuse to believe buff orpington is a real type of chicken. it sounds like the name i’d come up with for a one off dnd npc
My chickens would do that, too. Sometimes, two of them would hop up at the same time. One on each leg. I had a rooster that liked to sit on my shoulder.
@@AriaIsara as a duck army, i should know that all birds perch. i was just saying how a bird perched on someones shoulder usually reminds people of a parrot.
I legit would hang out with the chickens I had when they were little, and it would evolve into them being fully grown on my lap, shoulders, even my head.
Thank you so much for sharing this with us. Had a stressful day and came home to find this in my suggested feed. Huge thumbs up for you and your chooks!
I had 5 chickens in my backyard. One of them ( Babette) would come running to me when I came outside and jump into my arms and give me kisses and sing to me with little clucking sounds
Buffies are fantastic birds. Sweetest most friendly birds I've ever had. Had one named goose, I absolutely loved that bird. She'd come running and peck my shoes till I held her. God I miss her.
Love love love buff Orpingtons! They’re so friendly and curious, not to mention their nice round shape and gold feathers. My absolute favorite breed, we had a pet one named Pumpkin when I was growing up.
Watching chickens graze is very therapeutic, I lived on a farm for most of my childhood and teens, probably spent half my childhood watching my chickens.
I love having chickens around. My daughter has a farm and my favorite thing to do there is to collect warm brown eggs from under their soft toasty tummies.
They're so sweet. It hurts to think about how these animals are being treated in the mass scale meat and egg industry behind closed walls. It's the type of unimaginable horror that you can only film with a hidden camera. It goes against all our basic human values. Our ancestors have domesticated these animals for a long time but what is taking place today is not at all like that. It is no longer human conscience guiding decisions, but rich corporations and stakeholders that only see 💲 at all costs.
Next step recreate my profile. XD Had a rooster who never interacted with me jump on my lap putting his head under his wing and just slept didnt care if i touched him it was surprising. The chicken in my profile did it daily even demanding cuddles and when i ignored her she pecked at my pants and when i still didnt gave her attention she pecked harder and harder. I miss her. Thanks for sharing such a sweet moment im glad to see that others earn theire trust.
I tried eggs that my relatives gave us and they taste way better than the eggs at the store. Yup. Eggs laid by home raised free range chickens taste way better. You can taste the happiness.
Plot twist: The chicken, which jumped at the person's lap, is actually KickinChicken, and he wants to ask a person recording this, if he/she wants to go outside and hang out with him.
@@preacherofmusic They are Buff Orpingtons. We chose this breed because they are pretty good egg layers and also pretty good meat birds as well, although we aren't currently planning on ever eating them. They are also known to have a good temperament an are more friendly than many other breeds. The Rooster is a cross breed but he looks to have a large amount of Buff Orpington in him.
I love chickens I have this memory at college we were doing a animal care assignment on chicken handling, as the teacher was explaining a chicken walked right up next to me, I said to myself no I’m not taking the easy route I’m going to do this for real, then the cute thing decided to sit and lean into my leg, so I just went screw it and I picked up the chicken and held it for the whole assignment, most calm loveable thing didn’t even fight it just sat under my arm, no one else was able to grab one but me :)
