If you have line lock for burn outs and drum rear brakes you can snug up rear brake shoes some to help with rolling through the stage beams.

You can take a ten gauge wire and a 14 gauge fuseble link from the lug of alternator to the battery connection on the starter relay.

Or also can practice trying to use line lock for staging roll control. If button is in convenient spot on shifter.

You know how to knock a 20 pounds of that thing in like 10 minutes? Throw a couple cans of SlimFast in the tank!

You can do an ammeter/bulkhead bypass adding another section of wire to cut down on the current load by 30% going to your ammeter. Search up ammeter and bulkhead by pass an you will get many folks doing this upgrade to keep them from getting stranded by the side of the road or lessen the chance of a full blown gauge cluster melt down! Did you leave the key to ON for a long time without starting the engine? That may be why the fusible link is BBQ'd.

The combination is very capable of turning good times. It’s a super stock spring and pinion snubber setup isn’t it? It could really use some bias ply slicks at the track. Work up on learning how to power shift with your present shifter, and work up on the cars capability. The short and narrow gate will work well if you get used to it’s quirks. A V gate would be great but $$$ 🤑. 3040 is very respectable for a steel and glass four door modified for 11.39 certification. The math looks good for the N2O, but it will definitely be testing the limit of traction with that setup. It’s a good setup to learn with, and there’s a lot of potential there with future modifications when your ready to start climbing the speed ladder.

She's a big girl. My '71 Duster with a 440 and iron heads, a cage and all steel and stock glass weighed 2850. It can be done. Oh, and window regulators too.

Are you sure you are correct on the diff oil ? There is an inner seal in the axle tube and the bearings are actually grease packed. If oil is leaking it is a bad seal.

I think there should be two nuts on the starter relay stud. The connector should be between the two nuts. The first jam nut will be run all the way down against the relay to hold the stud( contact on the inside) in place. I have seen new ones have a stud wobble without the jam nut

Don't drive harder than you think you can. More importantly, don't drive with you emotions. Used to go fast , now heavy equipment operator is my only experience.

Power to weight is racing basics. 3k lbs isn’t bad. Research a little bit about actual racing history and techniques to help you guys out at your track visit. Rear percentage, weight transfer, crank centerline. it’ll go a long way helping you guys make those subtle adjustments while launching. Good luck.

Good choice on the Cherry Bombs. They're made out of some nice thick gauge steel. When you need to reuse them just trim the weld and pop it on something else. I have a few over 10 years old and they have been on multiple vehicles. And they sound so much better than those raspy flowmasters.

That is a good weight with no real weight reduction ( glass bumpers, swiss cheese, ect) Certified scale just means CAT will pay for a lawyer if there is a deiscrepancy between their scale weight and a DOT scale weight, they are that accurate. Most of my old Mopars that iv added a bigger alternator to , iv ran an additional heavy wire from the alternator to the battery. Must fuse it at the battery end 👌🏽

open headers and lowering seem like a good idea at the time but then you just end up in an abusive relationship with your car! You really need to get that thing tuned, even if you have to make some street hits. If nothing else you can work on doing some 60' hits and make sure your guys back you in your tracks and make 60' hits, then 100' hits and if there's no traffic, make a full hit and get a plug check if time permits!!! That would be a long ass pull to get there and have to work on the basics!!
