Yes sir! Grails are a personal thing. To me, it's a thing (or shoe) that you really wanna have. These youngins think that grails should cost you an arm and a leg but that's just dead wrong.

People these days associate a shoe being a grail as something worth a lot of money. Miss when people's grails would be something other than a yeezy, travis or off-white.
I agree. In my opinion whenever someone’s “grails” are either a Yeezy, Travis, or off-white it’s a tell-tale sign that they only very recently hopped aboard the sneaker “hype-train”. I remember being 10 years old in 2001 and seeing the Jordan 1 co.jp’s drop and wanting the neutral grey color way soooooooooo freaking bad (I played basketball from the age of like 8 until 17 and in my adolescent mind I would have been the coolest looking player on the court in those lol) and thinking that I would NEVER get a chance to own a pair due to the limited availability but then when I recently started collecting sneakers because I actually had the money to lol, you already know what my first “grail” was man. I didn’t pick up the original because I actually wanted to wear them without having to completely rehaul them, so I got the retro, not to toot my own horn or anything, but THATS a REAL grail in my opinion. It wasn’t hard to get, it really wasn’t that expensive at all, but I’ll tell you what, I will NEVER sell those suckers, EVER, and they only ever come out when I’m trying to put together a special fit. Definitely, my main grails that I would love to own are Jordan 1 Breda and Chicagos just for their legacy plus you can’t go wrong with those colours. While I like travis shoes outside of hype and being travis Scott they ain’t my grails

Your definition of what a grail is, or supposed to be is 100% accurate!! A grail is a shoe that you could never get or afford to buy. I graduated from high school in 1998. Those were some beast shoes! I had the white, black and green and I played in them till they pretty much disintegrated! Fun memories of outdoor hooping and open gym games at the high school in the summer....
I completely agree!!! A grail is a shoe you've never had, but always wanted (as if you're on a quest for the holy grail). For me, the all star/playoff 13s. (I saved up, waited in line... aaand Footlocker didn't have a single pair in my size.) And I'm old, so that was the O.G. release.

Damnnn! I had the OGs and just like you said, the damn rubber cracked and messed up the shoes! Made them useless after. I don't even remember what happened to them. Probably trashed! Thanks for the memories!
Man this brings back memories. I bought the Eddie Jones, Vin Bakers and Team Jordan’s back in the 90’s when they came out. Still have them. Still in great condition.
I loved these back in the 90's, nice to see them come around again. I think that there will be 5 colorways for these, I could be wrong,but that's what I think. Great video, as usual👌
These are DEF my grails as well. I was so excited for the last release but thoroughly disappointed when Chris kindly informed us of the tech specs. At least these have an air sole unit in the back so if they do release the OG white/green-black colorway, and the OG white/blue-black (same shade of blue as the EJ Pro Quicks in the video) colorway I will be super excited. The USA colorway looks nice as well (it IS an Olympic year after all - barring any further delay) so will definitely consider them if they come out.

I agree with the grail description I got my jordan swift 6 eddy Jones back in 99 and the love began with sneakers for me getting them back was my grail so happy I got them back 21 years later stiffer then I remember but still I will cherish them till I die 🙏👍🏻👍🏻

I have the same pair. Got the red black and white. The red and white, and the black with orange jumpman with blue fading into orange on the side panels.
I picked up a pair of the Olympic Colorway at Footaction. There off a little. The Strong Logo on the front has the colors flipped and the jump man on the back is blue, the originals were red. There are already 5 colorways. 1. "Bulls" 2. "Tiffany" 3. "Olympic" 4. "Bred" 5. White, blue & grey. 6. Tripe white I bet there are 10 colorways when this round is of Pro Strong is done.
Just to let you know. All that have been for colorways is 4 as of Jan '22. I just ordered the "Bred" Pro Stongs. My first pair was the infrared "Jordan 6's. I've always liked black (Just picked up black LeBron XIV) , so the red touch is my shit. Great video and I'm a new subscriber. Thanks for the input.
I actually grow to really like this model over the years. when it first came out my attention was entirely on the 13s and i thought (like mrs wing) this was just a less refine take of the XIII. Some shoes do grow on me and this is definitively one of them. the bulls home color look great in these for sure.

I'm rolling with Mrs. Wing and 6 different colorways. I still use the last Sonics colorway for outdoors and they are so much more durable than modern kicks.

I’m actually thinking about ordering these right now I saved up a bit of money I was going to get the six rings but they are sold out of my size so I’m trying to decide between the prostrong or the retro 12s twist colourway it’s driving me crazy lol. I really do like this pair though a lot I was still trying to decide but both pairs are just some of my all-time favourites
Chris I didn't cop the OG Vin Baker color way back in the day but I did get the USA color way! I loved that shoe because it was clean and tank, LOL. Jordan brand please release the USA color way again! (It's only been 25 years)
I got those USA Pro Strongs. Found em at a estate sale. Very clean. I hardly wear them. My daily J's are my 2s in 'Chicago' colorway. I love the 2s. But this vid is fave J's so 5, 6, 1, 4, & 37. Top 5. My 'Top 3' J5s and 'Hare' J37s are my fave 2 for this month. My son just got a super clean pair of J7s 'Vachetta Tans' at the Nike Factory store in Pigeon Forge, TN. Their selection isn't what I thought it would be tho🤷🏾♂
