The Doyle card is great but for those of us that have Willie Mays he still is the best overall CF in the game. If you don't have Mays there was a severe lack of fast/high defense CF (that weren't dogwater offensively) this season until the doyle drop though. But Mays has like 35 vision on him along with essentially the exact same offensive stats minus a few points of power + Mays has better contact and has all the quirks. Just no reason to use him over Mays other than he is like a few points higher on defense and speed, but at this point tons of people have mays parallel 5 so he's near 99 in speed and def anyway. And since most people aren't even using 4 wild card slots ATM because so many s2 cards are just so good, it just kind of leaves him in this no man's land. They both have closed swings as well which sucks as hitting inside pitches with them can be rough. What's really annoying for me atm IMO is the kershaw boost, it just inherently makes lefties more valuable, at even level 2 kershaw boost giving +10 contact/power against righties as well as 10 clutch and 10 hits/9. A card like 99 Jerran Duran for example is just objectively better than Doyle with the kershaw boost in everything except power v. lefties, while still having capped speed and amazing defense. Then factor in that the vast majority of good SP this season are righties, and you have the side advantage for lefties too. They should have came out with a RH version of the kershaw boost with the mid season 2 captains. Instead they came out with 100% useless boosts such as "cover athlete boost".
Going to grind for the new Tim Raines card. I got the postseason one P5 batting lead off and this one is wayyyy better with the clutch, power, and 99 speed
