As a professional dancer that’s been in more cyphers than I’d care to admit, this is incredible. GENUINELY incredible. It’s not just the musicality - anyone can hit beats with movements - it’s HOW he did it. He REALLY sat in the pocket and let the movement breathe. It wasn’t just hit into another hit. This is masterful completion and execution of hip-hop fundamentals. You can see the popping, locking, house, etc foundations blend perfectly through his movement. Not just that, but his freestyle has PERSONALITY. He’s not dancing TO the song, he’s dancing WITH it. He's fucking amazing.
Honestly, I can barely describe the joyous feeling I have seeing him dance. For some unexplainable reason this comment here filled me up with a sense of happiness and pride for this young man and brought a tear to my eyes. I think it's the recognition and respect that makes me so happy.

This is what you call loving what you have a gift to do. He doesn't dance to the music, the music moves with him. Nothing but pure joy in him when he dances. All I can say is that he gave his all and it paid off in the end!

I know nothing about dance but one of the coolest things to me about this performance is how it doesn't at ALL look like something he thought of before that moment. It looks like the music turned on & he just started moving. So effortless & his energy is infectious.
His routine was so meticulous and his commitment so utterly complete, he couldn't lose. He owned the song, he played the crowd, and when the song transitioned from is opening percussion into the song's full musical theme, that audience was reacting to him. It was a thing of great beauty.

Flow state is a beautiful place to exist for the short time it lasts. Would be an amazing breakthrough if we could learn to access it freely at all times. As a boxer/mma fighter, it is truly a totally different feeling when you hit flow state in a fight. You feel like you’re styling on a mannequin while you’re impossible for them to hit cleanly or even guess your next attack. The central nervous system is a marvel that is MANY decades from even being understood, let alone unlocked.
This Japanese person impressed me a lot. I don't think I'll ever be so moved by a dance performance again. The music, the performance, the atmosphere in the venue, everything was amazing.

That really was beautiful, he had hooked the audience during the intro, mimicking the drum beats, then absolutely cut loose when the song transitions into the theme. By then, he owned the audience and they were with him every step on in.
The way he danced is how freedom should be defined. I can’t help watching this clip dozens of times every time I come across it and it gives me the same feeling when I try to imagine what it must be like to fly free and soar the skies.

Unfortunately it's not choreographed but he does do the exact same dance for the song every time so even though it's not choreographed it is practiced and not technically freestyle
For anyone that doesn't know, this is his favorite song of all time. He spent a lifetime listening to it and whenever he felt sad, he would listen to this song. It's in his blood, and he knew the moment the song came on that he would win, but didn't know he'd create probably the most joyful dance clip in history.

Let me get this straight I'm not a big fan of dancing I'm a metalhead , but after watching this 20 times. This is the most badass single choreographed dance(if it was all freestyle I'm blown away) I've ever seen. wow wow wow. Obviously the whole world think so look at the faces of his peers, mouths are open, hands on their faces like Macaulay Culkin , and smiles on all, fist raising . At the end of a hard days work you can make people do that you've done something right. Keep it up "Machine Gun Feet"

It took me 2 days to realize the complete genius of this performance. His body was completely in sync with the beat and the brakes and the song. I love how in this clip he took the audience on a journey. His choreography had a gradual buildup and the crowd was completely engaged in his performance. He had them in the palm of his hand LOL
