@@AnnettesMakeupCorner LOL! I think the other issue is application technique? If you only use "windshield wiper motions" to apply your shadows? You're probably not going to have a good time with this palette. When she sas sneak peaking the colors I came SO close on the second & third row! I think my only "critique" (if I even have one) is that she didn't include one of her iridescent shades? I think it could have potentially gotten more people hooked on the formula. I'm actually wearing her green highlight 'shore to please' rn because I'm pretty sure rdf is going to have their Chimera highlight as the LE moon drop today!

Yeah i agree. I think maybe the orange duochrome didnt have to be in there since red and yellow makes orange and can just be layered for the same color. An iridescent shadow in place of it woulda been awesome!

I love watching your vids, it inspires me to be a bit more adventurous with eyeshadow colours! However it's difficult to see the shadows properly from so far away Please please please could you zoom in much more on to the eyes when you do eye looks?

While doing some research to try and find products that worked with my hooded eye creasing, I found a Reddit thread on the best mixing mediums for shadow liner. My eyes are watery so I can’t use cake liners and this thread had a link to a pic of IG comparing various products, from mainstream to indie and the silk naturals line sealer was their pick for bestI got it and it’s really controlled the transfer of my eyeshadow liner. Often I’ll use a pencil eyeliner in a similar shade to the shadow I want to use. Then set the eyeliner with shadow. Then I’ll take the eyeshadow and scrape a bit up and mix it with the liner sealer. Sometimes I only do the shadow liner and skip the eyeliner. I just find it helps me get my line to turn out better. I want to try other products that were rec’d too. Line sealer was rec’d bc it allowed the shimmer pigments to show up true to color and sparkle. It also really locks my shadow liner in place. I love this bc I can turn any shadow into my eyeliner.

I kinda wish more people would swatch the shadows after they used it on their eyes. I know it's hard to resist when you get a brand new palette and you're excited but I don't feel that it's always the best representation of the shadows, and I feel like sometimes people already made up their mind about the formula if some shadows don't swatch perfectly. Of course that probably comes from experience and knowledge but first impressions aren't always accurate. Gorgeous looks as always btw !

For me personally I won't say a shadow is bad based off a swatch but I do like to swatch my palettes/shadows 1st to see the formula I'm working with because I've touched enough palettes now to be able to feel how they will preform and if I need to use a specific base and blending technic or build them up or go in with these etc etc and I think Annette is the same! 🙂 Also just helps to know how the colours will actually look.

I loved each look but my favorites are 2 and 3 🤣 what a shocker blue and green looks are where my heart is... oh and that black lipstick looks awesome on you... I don’t get why people are saying this palette is pricey most single shadows of any are $5 or even more each that is literally what each shade is to make the palette $5...I find that pretty decent prices considering some shades are a little more special and intense

I would have brought this palette even though it would cost me $100 ($70USD) if it didn't have the greens in it because to me they dont really fit the vibe I got from the packaging and i have those type of greens over and over agin! Could have been a blue metallic and a cool unique duochrome shifty shadow like the are popular for! Just for me at that price I need it to be perfect and the customisable option they are now offering makes it more expensive actually but i do LOVE the red, orange and blue colour story!

I don’t see the byop option on their site. They used to have one that was a good price, but they couldn’t get the palettes anymore so they stopped it awhile back.

Hey Annette! I have the same problem with eyeshadows transferring when I use them as liner. Have you tried a mixing liquid? Ik cutcreaser raves about Mehron’s but I haven’t tried it yet. Would love to see you test it out!

Im too lazy to scrape off my shadows and mix it with one lol. I have tried it tho and it still transfers a little bit. Ive just resorted to only using gel liners or liquid liners as liners now

I just love this palette, and I love Terra Moons formula....I really want this palette, but since I'm a more "mature" makeup wearer, I'm afraid I would look clownish if I tried wearing it. Any tips or tricks, any recommendations are appreciated.

I’m 49.... not sure your idea of “mature”, but I’d suggest pairing this color story with other palettes that are either neutral, grungy or toned down. I work as a civilian in a medical group at a military base and this is what I do with my colorful shades. I get lots of compliments.

I second Tiffany’s suggestion. I pair a bold lid colour with neutral crease or use the bright colour more as a liner. And I do more fun makeup on the weekend vs at work (although with COVID I have been working from home).

What the other have said. Use this as an accent palette with your neutral shadows. Deepen up with a brown instead of blue or just do a full neutral crease and one of the shimmers on ur lid or a colorful lower lashline. Or go all out and dont give a shit what ppl say, thats my answer 😂 Attitude is everything!

Do u think using a mixing medium with matte shadows would work to keep them from transferring? I have the same issue, I use glitter glues but shimmers/metallics still transfer up bc of my eye shape... But when I use the JDGlow HD Crystals with their liquid mixing medium, I don't get any transfer! And those things aren't just powdery/glitter bomb city, they're VERY... floofy might be the best description, lol! This is a beautiful fall palette, thnx so much for sharing! And congrats on getting sumthing sumthing for your efforts! 😆... They couldn't have picked a better channel to partner with!
