I just got an FM9, I noticed some of the presets JUMP like that and shock you, you can almost tell if you hit one of the Scenes buttons on the unit, And you hear a POWER/Backround NOISE JUMP, and can kind of stop yourself from strumming. JOHN did a VIDEO not to long ago about LEVELING PRESETS, I think it had a title like AM I LAST ONE TO KNOW ABOUT THIS?, that was the CLICK BAIT thumbnail. it may be at both the G66 and JOHN NATHAN CORDY to search for it. PLUS one could read the MANUAL. I also have seen a couple LEON TODD and Cooper Carter, Matthew Dale also specializes in the FRACTAL and teaching and Recording tricks ones where they may show it, I have noticed there are a couple ways to do it, And I think JOHN shows at least 2. One thing on the UNIT itself you have the 3 output buttons, they can be turned down to, I am still trying to RAP my Head around what is UNITY GAIN, which supposedly OUTPUT 3 has that, I tried it today, I did not notice anything different there from the other 2 outputs. It is hard to direct link here on Ytube or I would, Remember every time you change something you have to SAVE it on EDitor and STORE on the unit itself. I find the EDITOR is way more Easy PEEZY. But am learning the unit front too. There also is the Fractal Forum and others can help there as well. COOPER CARTER is the Big specialist, he sets up units apparently for Big Celebrates like a John Mayer, Neil schon. I hope this Helps you in some as JOHN says USEFULL WAY??

@@ksharpe10 Thanks for reply. I'm already aware of the preset leveling. Everyone was saying they should be around 0dB and all the presets are in that area for me. What I'm curious about is what the hardware output settings are for most people. If I push the output knob on the unit past 3 then I'm running into over 85dB territory. I have the studio monitors set to +4dB but I'm think I should dial them down for safer levels with the Axe Fx. Either that or perhaps I should use hearing protection. Would appreciate input on this.

@@timothystorm9576 Sounds like something to post on Forum Fractal. Or a SEARCH for it on the Forum already, most likely you would find it there. Or a search for Output levels, or What to set Unit output levels for fractal here on youtube, I may run that one myself to see what comes up.
