At my daughters wedding I told em all last Sunday my wife told me she was expecting! She scattered. Rest were shocked! Told em all Monday my daughter got born. Tuesday went to school. Wednesday left school n went to work. Thursday I’m watching out for them boys! Today Saturday she’s got married. Enjoy em whilst you can. That wedding speech went down real good😂

Worked in a timber yard that kiln dried wood damn near 30 years ago now. Most of the time we were kilning Sapele that would be used to make Doors and Door frames. Usually in boards of up to 5' wide 24' long and 8" thickness. Not even sure that would be economical to do in this country anymore due to the price of the oil needed to fire the kilns....

I watch too much youtube. The Reel Mcoy waffles and makes no pretense about it. But he waffles while cutting. You can see the process of sawing and the small decisions he is making from cut to cut. The interactions between him, his wife, the log, and while all this is going on he tells about his cancer, or fraudulent loggers. The actions give much more information than speaking straight to camera with reflecting lenses. You are a hard worker. Show rather than tell.

At 3:00. I don't think you talk too much. It's usually interesting BUT please don't wear sun glasses when talking to the camera because good communication includes eye contact.

I didn't need 'educatin' on how to bypass the waffle, I already do that. The problem is finding the part which was worth listening to amongst the waffle. That and the waffle that goes on during the video. A tip fo educatin' yo, : if you want to talk do it while the action is going on. That way we have no choice but to listen to your smiling voice. A better tip: write down and edit your commentary. I still watch occasionally, For now. Thanks for the work :-)

To be honest I hadn't worried about looking that hard. But when you mentioned that you had had complaints it piqued my interest. I began to look at what you are doing wrong. Admittedly you have a lot going on and video editing is painful to say the least. But there are some obvious things you can get right from planning a little better. I mean it's interesting knowing that your neighbour is mowing his lawn and trying to see some movement in the reflection of your glasses. It is the only movement we get from a still of your face. Not even being able to see your eyes as some sign of emotion. Exciting stuff.

When you are educatin us as to how to use the moisture meter I imagine you can see the display quite well. But on camera the reflections block the display. Or you are holding the meter out of shot. When you are shooting look through the lens not from the side. And when that is not possible edit your video and do a voice over after. Still shots on video can be artistic, adding to suspense. Or just a pain. Avoid pain. If I showed you a block of ti tree for fifteen seconds with a voice over explaining history you might be rightly annoyed. 30 frames per second is wasted on still images.

1, I don't have a lense to look through, 2, I have no idea what 30 frames per second means 3, I do these videos for fun, not for the money, it pays very very little, This isn't a movie or a high production video, just for fun, take it for what it is, I have a business to run, don't have time to edit/and make sure I get perfect shots etc, just do us all a favor, unsubscribe and go look for a fake You-Tuber who will make your dreams come true and full fill your requirements for a perfect video,

Keep right on talking. I appreciate it, the more you talk the more I learn about the wood and what you do and the more I learn about you. That little segment told me all I need to know, though. You're straight up and I like that. At least you are nice enough to share this with us all on here and all we have to pay is watch the ads then sit back and listen to what you have to teach us on what you know. What those haters dont realize is you could be doing DVD's and charging for the education rather than being nice and doing it like you are. Ill be getting into wood working and there is a lot I can learn about the wood through what you have to offer so, keep right in a talkin', I appreciate what you do.
