This aeroplane looked like a fighter, beautiful lines when you consider the year of production. The SE5A has been referred to as the Spitfire of the first world war.

It was the Royal Flying Corps not the Royal British Army. And the plane you showed in the start with the caption of SE 5 was a Bristol Fighter. Terrible vocal sound. Please fix.

It was designed as an aircraft from the outset... Do you think other airplanes were originally designs as something else? "Hey Bob, I think your design for a portable outhouse looks silly with wings on it. But if you turn it sideways it would make a cracker of an aeroplanes!". I know that's not what you intended, but bad sentence structure coupled with an early robot voice makes for mistakes like this. 😂
