UPDATE: Meg had her surgery four days ago and it was successful. The team at Glasgow University Animal Hospital has been excellent and we go back in six weeks for a check-up. Until then it's crate rest and then gradual exercise over the next few months.
@@lifesahobby Hi Owen, Thanks for asking 😊Meg's doing great. She saw the vet last Thursday and he was very pleased with her progress. Longer lead walks now and in two weeks she can start walking off lead. How are your two doing?
@@IanTupmanOutdoors that's great to hear Ian, I am good . I was working in a vet on Friday , taking a lovely holiday for a few days , weather is a mixed bag , but really glad if the rest
Great movie :-) Amazung scenery ind music. It's very nice to watch :-) I love mountains 🙂 Nicely assembled :-) thumbs up :-D Greetings from Poland Kamil
Hello, the views are impressive from this height, thank you for the opportunity to see this beauty, thank you for taking us with you, it’s an interesting experience, great job. Friendly greetings from Ukraine, success!
Some of the frozen plants really reminded me of corals. Beautiful winter landscape. Seems that I couldn't spot any tracks in the snow. Seems like there is barely any traffic on this trail. So beautiful.
Hi guys, yeah I had it all to myself 😍Glen Rosa is a popular walking route but once you leave the valley you can often go all day without seeing anyone else. And yes, I thought the grass looked like coral as well, really beautiful to see. All the best, Ian 🙋♂
Nice sound. Thanks for sharing your adventure. Guys I recommended you visit the himalayan mountains k2 and Nangaparbat view point from one place moses peak. Add this sound in your bucket list.
@davidwilliamson5899 You just have to grab days like that when they arrive, we don't get many of them!! Thought it was time to give those pants a day out 😁 Thanks for watching and for taking the time to comment 🙋♂
Really superb Ian, one of your best videos. What a day! Arran looks so very beautiful. It’s a wonderful island, very envious. Liking the bright sunny strides 😁 TTFN! Sue
Thank you very much Sue! 😍It was an excellent day and very enjoyable to edit. I had anticipated more snow hence the winter pants and the B3 boots but I was glad of them round the far side of Beinn Tarsuinn 🥶🧊
Hi Ian, firstly great news to hear that Meg is on the road to recovery. 😀 Secondly, wow, what beautiful scenery, absolutely stunning, thank you so much for sharing it with us. All the very best, Dave 😀⛰🥾🏴
Many thanks Dave. Meg's a tough wee dog and in time she'll make a full recovery and be back out on the hill with me. Look forward to watching your latest video 📽
Caro Ian.
Morning Matt. I'm chuffed you enjoyed it along with your coffee and toast 😄I am indeed fortunate to have landscape like this so close to home and I never take it for granted. Thanks for your comments and support. All the best, Ian
Hello! Ian I'm happy to be able to see the scenery of Arran again. A story told in your voice is so soothing that time passes quickly. Unless we step out of our comfort zone, we will never find the real thing. I applaud your adventure in the feels like temperature -17℃ wind. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful view.I agree that this is the best ridge in Scotland. And I'm so happy to hear that Meg's surgery was a success.
Thank you June ❤Meg is getting better every day but it will be a few months before she is able to come with me in the mountains. I want to make sure she is completely recovered and fit 🙏
Hi Ian! Amazing video 😍. You really had brilliant conditions on the ridge, the light, the clouds - everything perfect 👍. I love the dramaturgy of Arran mountains - after watching this video Jola is now urging me to go there again soon 😊. Please pass our best regards to your wife - we hope she is getting well 👍👍
Hi Bart. Thank you very much! Yes, I was lucky to get such good conditions and to have it all to myself 😁 Meg is our border collie 🐶so I will pass on your good wishes to her with a wee biscuit. You must get over to Arran, there's so much for you to film from Lochranza castle to beautiful beaches, waterfalls and of course, the mountains. Have a great weekend 🙋♂
@@IanTupmanOutdoors Lol! I thought that since your wife is not with you on your recent adventures, then she has some health problems - my sloppy reading 😁😁. I'm glad that both your wife and your dog are OK 👍😊😊. As to Arran - we visited it 2 years ago and did Glen Rosa, Glen Sannox, Lochranza, King's caves, Goat Fell, some beaches and waterfalls. Since we were sleeping at Glen Rosa campsite, without electricity, I ran out of batteries for drone and couldn't film all of them, but some videos are on the channel😁😁. We planned to visit few corbets more, but since we were there with Annie who was just 7 yo at that time and we saw these jagged peaks from Goat Fell (and some rescue action which was actually going on there with the helicopter flying over them), we decided to do them when she is older. Hopefully later this year 😊😊.
A beautiful video, Ian. It must have been quite hard going where there was all that ice! So sorry to hear about Meg but happy that the op. was successful. I hope that it won't be too long until she is strong enough to accompany you on your adventures again!! ❤
Caro Ian,questo video è fantastico, il top del top, complimenti 🙌 Un abbraccio a tutti voi e spero che Meg guarisca bene e possa presto accompagnarti nelle tue belle escursioni 😘🐶🥰
Cheers Kev. Aye, bluebird days like that are few and far between this winter, just have to grab them when they arise. Yeah, Meg's doing great, a big relief. ☺
Beautiful. I often look at Arran and on the rare days when I can see snow on the summits (when they are not obscured by cloud) I wonder who's lucky enough to be up there.
And now you know Natalie 😁It was me!! I'm fortunate to be able to pick and choose which days I go to the mountains and this was a stoater. Maybe see you over there some day. All the best, Ian 🙋♂
Be hard to better that Ian superb winter conditions and view to Antrim (amazing 🏴🏔️🏔️🏔️) Hope you’re doing well 🙏🏼 may I ask how Meg is doing ? Best regards Simon 🤠👍🏔️
Hi Simon, yeah a cracking day out. I've done that route several times but never in such good conditions. Thank you for asking about Meg. The surgery went well last Thursday and she's resting in the house with only short trips into the garden for toileting. We're determined to make sure she recovers as fully as possible so it'll be a few months before she's out on the hill with me again. Best wishes to you and your family. Ian 🙋♂
