Okay, Joe is officially the most adorable baby I’ve seen in a long while. I love how vocal he is. I was born and bred in Southwest Ohio. Hocking Hills has always been my favorite place to visit in Ohio. Thank you for sharing your family time with us.
I think Joe is pretty cute, but I'm pretty biased. I'm more familiar with northern Ohio, which is pretty flat and boring much like southern Michigan. I did know that the southern part was more hilly, but I had no idea there was anything this beautiful there.
I love it there. Breathtaking. Perfect lens for the vastness. And the ferns. I laughed with the baby. And I loved his commentary. This video is definitely in the top five!
What a wonderful family outing! That was awesome! Everything was fascinating! The honeycombs were very cool, looked like birdhouses! I believe even Nancy would agree, it was worth every moment even though I would be winded about the quarter of the way through!😂😂 Joe was cuteness overload and looked like he had fun too! @@MichiganRocks I recognized that Nancy has a knee problem. Probably because I have two knees with problems. One has been replaced. The other I'm waiting to do later. Knee replacement is very painful. But at least no more pain in that one. Bad thing about knee problems it effects your other joints too. I hope her knee gets better.
I have been to Hocking Hills several times, both in summer and winter... it is fantastic and I love going back when we can. It's a pretty well kept secret in my opinion. The Hocking Hills zipline tours are pretty fun too. Love it!
Close enough for me. Way too much walking and too much up and down pathways. My legs just couldn't do that. So you just keep making amazing videos for me to dream about seeing . LOL
That looks like an absolutely stunning area to go camping. Another place to add to the ever growing list of places to visit. Take away the people noises and it sounds sooooo peaceful! Thanks for sharing this family adventure!

Fantastic family outing - if exhausting! Thanks indeed for bringing us along. I'm so amazed I've never heard of this place, let alone never been here. Some epic geology. I'm imaging some enormous floods ripping through this already weathered and permeable landscape, tearing up the sandstone and carving these huge channels and waterfalls, dragging & tumbling some of those massive boulders & rocky fragments to their new resting places. Would have made interesting homes for ancient peoples. Quite wonderous landscape. Thanks for the experience. Your kids are a credit & lots of fun.
Some of the slump rocks that fell off the cliffs are just huge and amazing. One rock at that last location was like the size of a small house and was all covered in moss.
@@MichiganRocks Must say it looked a fantastic location - I don't understand how I never heard of it. I've been to many more much lesser places! And it's such a fun spot for families - I loved how it said no wading or swimming! Might as well say Don't eat the ICE CREAM!! Really enjoyed seeing it, thanks.

How have you not known this about Ohio? The Appalachian Mountains begin in Ohio. Cuyahoga Valley National Park is also amazing in NE Ohio. Eastern Ohio is extremely hilly with waterfalls, caves, dense forests, cliffs, I could go on and on.
Because when I drive through Ohio on my way to Florida, I don't see any of that. I think most people in Michigan picture Ohio looking flat and boring, sort of like southern Michigan. I know better now though.
Such a beautiful place, pictures and video don't do it justice! Spent a few days down there a couple years ago with the family, would highly recommend it!

It’s been awhile since we’ve seen Joeseph. He has really grown ! Wow, I had no idea Ohio had anything like that. That must be southern Ohio as norther Ohio is much the same as northern Indiana and southern Michigan. You can tell the place is well visited as some of the stone steps are worn down from the traffic. Truly spectacular !!! Thanks for sharing Rob.
When I think of Ohio, I always picture the northern, flat part as well. This was in the south, so it's more like Kentucky. Joe has grown a lot since you've seen him. There have been a few requests to see him, so I was happy to get into a video again.
Rob, Nancy and Family.... Rock-ON! I have been to many places in my 80 years but that ranks up with the family locations. Little Joe is a hoot, the joys of babyhood:) I grew up down the Jersey Shore and now live in Ferndale, WA and every day on You Tube see places we missed back East. God just keeps on amazing me. Each spot we went to seemed better than the last. We equally enjoyed Joe. This video was shot a couple weeks ago and now Joe is at our house visiting for the weekend. We're lucky to see so much of him.

I always recommend a basic pair of hiking sticks when hiking Hocking Hills. I bought mine at Walmart and they have been serving me well for over 8 years.
I live in Ohio... (Please don't judge) ;) I've made three trips to Porcupine Mts. State Park on Lake Superior and I think that is one of the most beautiful places I have been!! Glad you enjoyed your visit!

I'm 54 and have walked every trail in Hocking Hills many many times. No matter how many times I see Rock House it's a treat. My favorite hike is the upper rim trail at Conkle's Hollow. I'm glad you and your family discovered our hidden gem.
That was an awesome vacation, one of my favorites. We only did one trail at Conkle's Hollow and it seemed to be low, rather than high. Now I want to go back and do the other trail. I couldn't believe that every trail we did was better than the last. I thought the first day was so good that we'd be disappointed by everything after. Boy, was I wrong.
@@MichiganRocks the upper rim trail gets narrow at points, but is very managable. There are a couple of uncovered cliff areas where you can see the whole Hollow and far beyond. If you ever make it back; I highly suggest that trail.
Looks like a really pretty place!! Thanks for the good share! That Devil's Bathtub is neat. If you all enjoyed that, you may want to consider Red River Gorge in KY. It also happens to be next door to the best agate county in our state. Really cool. The power of nature and how it transforms the land, I think it is awesome you still go on family vacations. Most kids anymore would rather hang out at home, there is so much to see in this great nation.
If someone says to me "Ohio is boring & flat" the 1st thing I think of is Hocking Hills, & I tell them how very wrong they are. I can't tell you how much time I've spent in all these areas. My favorite place in Ohio is the upper rim trail of Conkle's Hollow, in the fall (the beautiful colors of the leaves). You'll have to come back and do that hike! sometime
I thought Ohio was flat and boring too, until I went to Hocking Hills. Last week I spent a day at Cedar Point, which is also not flat or boring if you are on rollercoasters.

I just looked at the map and some pictures of Caves Beach. It's really beautiful there. I like how they've left a nice natural area along the coast, keeping the town of Swansea back from the beach.
