I visited Hocking Hills in 2005 and thought it was one of the most beautiful and peaceful places I've ever seen. We stayed at Steep Woods cabin for the weekend. The waterfalls are the prettiest in the spring when there is a lot of water flowing. All of my pictures were accidentally erased from my computer, so I was glad to find your video, which brought back the wonderful memories of this magical place. I too was shocked that this was in Ohio. But, it touches Kentucky which is very similar.
I thank you, Will & Dawn, for videos like this. As someone stuck in a wheelchair, I can't go out & explore the world like I used to, & hiking most trails just doesn't happen any more. So, thanks for showing us places like this.
It’s a shame it was so dry when you came here. When we could still travel we used to go here almost once a year. It can not compare with The Great Smoky Mountains, but for Ohio, it is the best you can get!
This was the best surprise! I live in TN, about an hour n half from the Smokies but am from Ohio. I visit Lake Hope (about 30 min from Hocking Hills) with my family who still live in southern Ohio, often. We have visited Hocking Hills and the many caves in that area several times over the years. Its a beautiful place!! I was so excited to see someone showcase it. Thank you for the video.
I can remember going to this wonderful place as a child, it was very primitive back then, then through my teen years, watching it transform with trail upgrades, the big wash out happened and those amazing bridges where installed, to replace the washed away old ones. Some places are closed off now, looking at you "fat mans squeeze" but when I return to Ohio, this is a must go to place for me.
Beautiful and impressive. I really enjoy these videos since I'm now very limited to the amount of walking. I miss hiking around places like these but thanks to you two, I can somewhat feel like I'm there with you. Thanks Will and Dawn for taking us along on your trip to Hocking Hills, Ohio.
I’m from Georgia and I’ve been to Hocking Hills. My sister lives in Lancaster, OH and we were up for a week and we went exploring. Neat! I’ve actually been to Ash Cave. Beautiful!
That Unique bridge just about stopped me. I was by myself and was so afraid I’d fall off the edge trying to muster the strength to get up those tall steps.
That's a beautiful place. Wonder if it was carved out by a glacier?? Youngstown, Ohio has mill creek park with similar looking walls/caves. Enjoy your hike..
Great video! Wish I knew you guys were up here, I only live about 10miles from Hocking Hills. It would have been exciting to meet you both. Have a great time and be safe.
Have been there many times, so glad you were able to visit and that you both enjoyed and liked it too.you both share so many wonderful places with us, glad our state was able to reciprocate👍🏻
Very beautiful park. I looks like you had a very enjoyable hike. I really liked all the woods and caves. It looked like you were in the mountains. Your shower under the waterfall looked very refreshing.
Will and Dawn , thanks you sharing your day at this state park. It was very interesting and different. My hubby and I liked going to places like that when we where younger. We are both handicapped now, so no longer able. We really enjoyed watching this blog. 🤓💕👍
If you guys can go to the Warther museum. I’m not sure if I spelled it correctly. The museum is fantastic showcasing everything Warther made by hand. 🤪🤗😍
Thanks for the video! I live in Ohio and it’s been years since I hiked in Old Mans cave. I forgot how beautiful 😍 it was! I’m just not in the best of shape to do it anymore so I really loved this video :) love Ash cave though 🥰
this was beautiful, I knew parts of Ohio are in the Appalachain mountains but did not know it was this beautiful, I've never heard of this state park before, thanks for sharing
Nice park. While y'alll are in Ohio,, you might want to visit Springboro on the south side of Dayton.. It was a stop on the Underground Railroad. Further south is Loveland Castle, built by a fella with help from scouts. Used as, among other things, a scout camp and a gathering spot for renfest folks.
My backyard! You came during extremely dry weather we had. All of the waterfalls and devil's bath were super dry. Shocked to see how dried up the pools were under Ash Cave and Old Man's. They did have a concert at Ash Cave recently. 😊
By the way… the ugly little critter hanging on the rock will turn into a beautiful dragon fly! We used to watch them transform when we were out on the beach on the Mississippi River!!! It’s very interesting to watch!
Next time you visit hocking hills you should stay at Ravenwood Castle. You can stay in the castle or in one of the huntsman hollow cabins or in the medieval village cottages. It kind of a neat place to stay, they have a life size chess board, etc…it is in a remote area. Hopefully you check this out next time your in the area of hocking hills.
Ash Cave is also one of my favorite places to go, This where the Indians lived and you can actually smell a hint of campfire smoke in the area. yes do Rock house and also do Conkles Hollow lower trail, you will be amazed.
When you go back you should look into some of the VRBO rentals they have. There are some real nice cabins and A frames, alot of them have hot tubs and the works. That hot tub is awesome after spending the whole day out hiking.
So happy to see all of these places in Ohio! Love Hocking Hills!❤️ The stream and waterfalls were much fuller when we was there! The Devil’s Bathtub is usually fuller and swirling more!
This video made my day Hocking hills is so beautiful next time you guys are up this way you should go to Tecumseh outdoor drama it's right by Hocking hills it's awesome take care y'all
Thank you Will and Dawn, I know I’ve told y’all before but that’s why I love the places y’all go to…due to my fear of heights I wouldn’t be able to do that walk but through y’all I can…I see thing’s I never knew about…y’all are amazing at what y’all do, keep up the great work😊💕
Hocking hills is one of my favorite places to go in the fall. have been coming here for the past 4 years. This area never disappoints. Going early to hike is true and also later in day .we will be in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg the end of October .Glad you enjoyed the hike. Love your videos and adventures !!!
A very beautiful place, too bad it gets so crowded. Although, the same has been happening in GSMNP. Over use can do damage to the the natural ecosystem and I'm, actually, happy to hear that they're adding a fee to help restore and maintain the park(s). Great vlog, love the hike!!
Welcome to Ohio ,I’m only about 2hours east of here pretty cool but busy place been here couple times but not since I’ve started my channel ….thanks for sharing your adventure
