I'm from the Grand Rapids Michigan area. I visited the canal a couple of times in the late 90's and early 2000's, and did some photography. It's nice to see websites like this now to see the ship action.

Those Swedish ships are so clean - they look like you could eat a meal from the deck. Not at all like CSL and Algoma lakers!

Quite a bit of hull "rash" for a 3 year old ship. I guess it does not take long.

They sure do, kept very clean that is for sure. Then again, most ships look clean in comparison to some of Algoma's sailing rust buckets (former salties)
