I was born and raised just along the road from this place, in Granton. I remember this used to be a Harry Ramadens restaurant back in the day. Got a nice little bit of nostalgia from this ❤️🙌🏼

Eating their fish and chips by the sea, watching the sun set... Life doesn't get much better than that.

The fish and chips looked high end quality, i Love bits of onion in my curry sauce and has to be thick. I thought the best thing to come out of Scotland was Tunnocks products but they’ve got plenty of hidden gems up there! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I live up in Edinburgh not far from newhaven, I had a laugh to myself when you pulled out the Bon accord juice , there used to be Bon accord lorries would deliver to our house when we were kids , superb 👍

You’ll need to try the bay fish and chips in Stonehaven Aberdeenshire , best by far

2.50 the lady is wearing a bikini top and you’ve dressed for the Arctic Circle lol. That’s a good chippie but for a Scottish fish delicacy, I’d also recommend you try Arbroath Smokie the next time you’re up here.

Used to be a Harry Ramsden until ‘bout 8 years ago. NOBODY has ever recommended this chippy to me, but I’ll give it a bash as that curry does look interesting. There used to be a restaurant across the road called The Peacock, which was the most famous place in Edinburgh to go for a sit in fish supper but that is now an Indian. I think they went under when Ramsden’s opened

That was a great review. Your love of their fish and chips and lobster reminds me of when we go to Cape Cod, Massachusetts every fall and go to the Lobster Pot in Provincetown. Best fish and chips, clam chowder, lobster bisque and just about everything else. If you're ever in the states (someday post-Covid) you need to check it out. Thanks, as always, for a fun review. As a yorkshireman who knows his whitby chippies.....and i have lived in edinburgh 20yrs we used to drive to anstruther for fish and chips .... then welch open the chippy at newhaven it's the best in the world...by miles

It’s overrated and overpriced, whilst still being excellent. The wee hurrie in Troon is better, more reasonably priced and less gentrified. Very similar menu.
