One of the things I like about the way Geek speaks is when she says "Is that a problem?" it's almost guaranteed to be immediately followed by "That's a problem."
14:00 There's a syllable in Japanese that we usually see romanized as "tsu", because that's how it sounds to English speakers. But that's using Hepburn romanization. In the Nihon-Shiki system, and its offshoot Kunrei-Shiki, it's written as "tu". So this says "ninjutsu". (With a ninja star to the left!) Aaaand I see tilted_skirm basically explained this.
@@sebideee during the spike maze when your waiting for the 2nd star your teleported during 1 frame to the 2nd checkpoint and teleported back again. Using the broken track tech.
I watched Carl play this live just two days ago. It was a TWO HOUR gauntlet for him. Great level, and great to see Geek's shocked expressions throughout.
@@RamberBufameti as I understood it just disappears few frames earlier... But can broken tracks move you through walls? I thought they cannot (they squish you instead). Also that's some insanely nasty timing, to tp in and out in less than 100 ms Imo, this was most hidden checkpoint swap i ever seen. No idea how did this happen.
@@DimkaTsv to the best of my knowledge it depends on your speed. Collision can't tell if you "crossed" a wall from 1 frame to the next, it can only tell if you're currently colliding with something, so if on 1 frame you are cleanly on 1 side of something and the next frame you're cleanly on the other side, then as far as the game is concerned you never collided with it, so if you're not going quick enough to cleanly come out the other side in a single frame, then the wall pushes you back and you get crushed by whatever is pushing you.
Fun fact, there's no Japanese character for the sound "tu". So if you type tu on a Japanese keyboard, you get つ, which is the character for "tsu". So Ninjutu is actually Ninjutsu.
The sound "tu" doesn't exist in any modern Japanese words; having changed to "Tsu" everywhere. If you really really need to specify the sound "tu" , like to imitate a foreign word, you can use a "te" katakana character with a small "u" katakana to indicate that the vowel should be changed without palatalizing the t into a ts. Similarly if you need the "ti" sound (as opposed to "chi" which takes its logical place), use a "te" plus a small "i".
It's very common for Japanese to write romanji as it would be typed instead of phonetically, using tu and du for つ and づ, si and zi for し and じ, leaving in the y for vowel substitution such as tyan for ちゃん, etc.
I was curious to what the kanji in the title means, so I looked into it! 鏖(みなごろし) minagoroshi, literally 'death of all', but it means massacre/annihilation. I'm excited to watch Geek get wrecked now xD
In my missing of Geek I’ve watched a lot of Geeks videos lately. I love how she grew. I love how the editing grew but even NORchives you can just see her get comfortable and know she’s one of the best. I’m not saying the gameplay is good, or the constitution, or even the marriageableness. It’s just been so fun watching Geek. 10/10 one of the best. Okay. 5/10. Okay 1/10. But I’ll stand to it until the end. Geek is the best. You’ll always be 10/10 in my book. Even if you totally deserved the softlocks and Offscreen Thowmps.
5:04 khneori says "Shalosh nikudot", or "three dots", three times. (I think GRNKRBY typed three Japanese periods, which is not actually what an ellipsis looks like in Japanese writing.)
Not one iota, not one…wait what was the other thing?……and which one is the dot?… Fish to right of her, fish on top of her volleyed and thundered… Kids learning female anatomy: 18:14
There are a couple of explanations. Summary is: Mario vanishes for a few frames while on the conveyor, during which the teleport-speed movement glitch is used to hit CP 2 and bring him back.
This one's freaking crazy. In the spike maze when you're on the conveyor, there's one or two frames where you get teleported to CP2 via broken track, and then teleported back. That's the explanation I read in Carl's chat.
@@emmahird2795 Right? I actually went looking for it just now, and yeah, I found it. 2 frames at 26:29 right when the firebar is about to touch Toad, Toad disappears.
@@AmethystEnd oh my god! I had to get a screenshot, that's absolutely wild Edit: ohhhh! that's why the key is there! It hides the noise of the checkpoint!
This troll level was glorious, damned near from start to finish. My only "minor" gripe about the level was the Bowser after CP1, and only because there isn't much reaction time allotted in order to dodge it.
Thanks RU-vid Reccomendations, glad I found this. Thanks RU-vid for letting me be the 121st Like & 24th Comment. I'm gonna become a New Subscriber, keep up the great work every single day that you can do so.
I'm impatient. It's a personal failing. I usually get annoyed when a streamer stops playing to talk to chat. I always thought it would be funny to see a level that anticipated when and where a streamer would likely stop and kill them for doing it. Now that I've actually seen that executed, it's actually super annoying, because it's not like the streamers are going to stop doing that. It's like their entire business model. So that means that all the level creator has done is to make the waits even longer and more tedious.
w is what the japaneses use to say :"hahahaha" I think it comes from the fact that before w they used the kanji for grass and the it became w because it looks like a fiel of grass (wwwwwwwwwww)
When a level gets taken down it is really hard to find the maker unless you already happen to follow their account. Took me ages to find, but finally got it: おりべぇし (JR9-0SQ-14G)
