I know that you are pulling and releasing the strings in order for the punch to come out, but does hitting metal surfaces helps with training the strings in any way? is it some sort of vibrational training? or is it just a hand conditioning exercise combined with string training?
The focus was never on the hand conditioning. We train the front and back string, the hard surface will prevent you from punching all out and focus on accuracy, eg alignment of fist, wrist, elbow etc and learn how to deal with the force that is being bounce back by the pole. Learn how to direct back the force to the ground so it dont get stuck in your own body and injured yourself.
