Wait what? Phoenix PD had this guy in custody a few years back, didn't charge him etc. Essentially they didn't do their job and it came back to bite them and now they're all weepy eyed about it.
These are the same people who follow orders no matter how unconstitutional. Policing is the only profession in which stupidity is a protected class and lying is encouraged. It is hard for an honest person to respect them.
I'm sorry for the loss for the family and unfortunately one of the few good Phoenix officers. That department has a lot of questionable and downright criminals working to violate people's rights. Again the criminal shouldn't have been on the street. You can thank prosecutors and judges who put the wrong people in jail and let murderers go free.

Well, it’s a part of the job description. It comes with a risk and if you’re entirely sure you’re willing to take that risk then you know at some point you might not come home. If you want a guarantee then it’s best you find another profession. It’s like signing up to go to war there’s no guarantee whether you’ll come home as you did when you left. It’s a risk.
