I love that Taka is switching from one language to another, I love him for still trying to speak in english despite the fact that he's still struggling to express himself. And thank your for the team for allowing him to elaborate his answers by switching to Japanese. To fans that are disappointed on this new album, EOTS may not be their best album, and the band is aware that most of their old fans won't like it, so please stop shoving it to their faces, they still work hard just to give us a new album. Let them explore with new styles, it's their band afterall.

Just bought the album (english version). Love it! Most of the songs are motivating! Also, I love that they’re aware that the old fans might not like it but still try to convince them that they will have different experience when they see it live. Such humble guys they are. I was wondering, if you guys ( i mean in Rocksound ) can have him speak Japanese like this in his video interviews by adding translations, why don't you just let him reply in japanese for the full interview ? He has so much more to say in his native language, it's a bit sad that his words are sometimes limited by the language (He has improved so much though, so proud of him!) ...or is it by his request that you do the interviews in english ? thank you for reading if you made it this far lol

I've heard some tracks from the Japanese album, have a rock, pop and electronic footprint is interesting, hoping to get the international version to listen :3 If it were evaluate some tracks that I listen to give 8.5 / 10, but still need to hear more to give a final note :)

Thank you for this interview. I was glad that Taka was able to speak Japanese when he had to say something that was more complicated and that we had the English subs for it. I really appreciate English subs because my understanding of Japanese is not too good. I really love their old and new style. One OK Rock will always be my favorite band whatever style they choose.

The first time they drop "Change", the first thing I thought of is they no longer care about what fans might think about their new music as long as they make good music it's fine to them. We can always get a hard rock music back if Taka feels like doing it. But as of now he really wants to venture to new style and I appreciate that. Their recent music like Wasted Night was actually one of my fav song already.

I love songs from the new album but the old style and Japanese lyrics is why I like one ok rock and speaking Japanese in the interview helps me understand much more

I haven't listened to the song with kiiara in it bcs it's not available on spotify in my country lol. but overall, I love the messages they want to tell, they're so touching at some points. the concept of loving yourself and fighting for your life and your dreams make the album more emotional.

The first time i heard one of their songs was Way Back 4-5 years ago and I already feel in love with it and ever since then I've been a fan till now. I admit that I like their songs and style back then but I'm still gonna support them to the fullest. And even if their styles have changed their new songs are also really AWESOME. I just wish that they sing more in Japanese and less English cause even if I don't understand what they're saying I enjoy it better and there's just something about them that drives you crazy about their songs and music even if its in their language. ONE OK ROCK is Truly THE BEST J-ROCKERS. So yeah I hope they'll continue making more wonderful music for the rest of their lives. Gamba! 🎶💖

Hi taka, I've been listening to your songs ever since the beginning and have been a fan for many years. As much as I love the lyrics in your new album which brings so much motivation listening to them, the album is still disappointing. Let me tell you why. I always believe that musicians should sing according to the uniqueness of their identities. As much as everyone is heading towards the era of electro music and pop culture, these kind of genres makes all the artists look typical, and "Eye of the Storm" is pretty much that with better lyrics. One ok rock songs are unique in such a way that it's not just the music, it's the energy, the power and the motivation and the emotion, all synergised in one legendary band called One ok rock. It tells us stories about life and about who you really are. Imagine the feeling when you're at your lowest point of life, "The Beginning" brings you back on track and then "We Are" motivates us in overcoming our demons. Imagine getting a heartbreak in your relationship, "Heartache" and "Et Cetera" brings us closer to your music and our soul. Imagine the power when you are being lied by someone and "Liar" understands how we feel when we want to scream to get them out of our lives. Imagine being away from home to follow your dreams despite objections from your parents and then come back and realised "Nobody's Home". Imagine getting goosebumps when you hear the bass guitar leading the way in "Deeper Deeper" and the screams are insane. Imagine falling in love with a girl and tell her "Wherever you are" you'll always make me smile. These kind of music are dying. You'll hardly ever find music that tells these kinds of stories in a powerful and meaningful way, and only you guys can do it, because you guys are the best in making these kind of music. In fact, the only one song from the new album I feel pretty and can compliment to is "push back". I don't mind if you guys are planning to take a break from rock, I rather if you guys can make more acoustic versions of every songs with your angelic voice inside, or add some orchestra to make the songs more instrumental than electronic. Be the Lady Gaga who changes herself into Joanne. I'm writing this as a die hard fan, hoping that you'll never deviate yourself to different paths and lost your way to be typical with other Pop musicians, and make songs to your authenticity of who you are when you first started it.

It would be nice to include the rest of the bandmates in the interviews. I know every members are busy and have their own schedule. I love One Ok Rock. I love Taka, but One Ok Rock is not "Taka and One Ok Rock". It is One Ok Rock that includes four members. Just my opinion. Thank you for sharing.

I loved xxxv, AMBITIONS and of course EYE OF THE STORM. Pieces of me was my fav song from single MIGHTY LONG FALL. And i was wait from this single that they're gonna have this pop-rock sound on ALBUM and here we are! I know that someone say: few no distortion on guitar:( But i think this is great vocals, drums still Japanese style;) And also i guess next album gonna sound like mid between AMBI n EOTS

When I heard the singles Change, Stand Out Fit in, and Wasted Nights, i said to myself. "Where is OneOkRock heading to?" I began to be disappointed as far as not listening to the album. Though i still tried to listen to it and I was lucky enough to stream both Japanese Ver and Intl versions of the album, at first i was struggling to accept their new sound. But i somehow thought about this analogy "OneOkRock is still trying to penetrate the US Market and by doing so, they are slaying this genre making it their own style and essence. They're paving the way for other Japanese artists to follow through. This album is the calm before the storm and when we get to the edges of that storm, we would know how they are going to rock the US market. " So I hope the old fans (like me, since 2009) and new fans alike will embrace this phase of the band. AND FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!! TAKA, RYOTA, TOMOYA, TORU PLEASE COME BACK TO THE PHILIPPINES!! ONEGAI!!!
