TRT World's Ghida Fakhry speaks to Malaysia's Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, USA. #UNGA #UnitedNations #MahathirMohamad #Malaysia
My goodness me? He is 93. He looks to be in his 60s. So fit and leading the nation. What he s done for his country is simply phenomenal. No doubt he s a role model for poor countries to get out of crisis.
Indian Muslim Mahathir looks younger bcos all the spare body parts inside him are transplanted from young strong African Youths. He secretly visits Africa frequently to to change and transplant his failed body parts with body parts from young healthy African youths.
Well because China is actively expanding their sea territories in South China Sea, interfering and/or invading smaller countries like Nepal to expand their influence, secure trade roads that are beneficial to them and funding North Korea to act as a intermediate proxy againts Korea and Japan (US allies). From the US standpoint of course they would like to know what Asean countries views of a borderline oppressive China is like, but I think Tun Dr Mahathir made it clear in his speech during the UN general assembly.
Recently Mahathir in fight with Johor Royal families. Johor is like 2nd richest state on Malaysian peninsular. Mahathir camps threatened to arrest Johor crown prince under Sedition Act. Until today, no arrest being made by Mahathir camps and Johor crown prince keep humiliating Mahathir via social media.
It always amazes me watching Mahathir Mohammad speaking with great devotion, kindness, truthfulness and being always straightforward which are missing in today's nation leaders. Salute to this man who is 71 years older than me👍👌👏
The ONLY Muslim leader in the world who dare speaks his mind in ‘black & white’ with no gray area in-between, which no other leaders be they Muslim or non-Muslim, could.
@N D tayyab Urduan is good for his own people but he used islamic card to increase turkish exports to the Muslim contorys.that make worse when he used as puppet by Trump by saudi reporters murdror he tried to happy Trump to remove baned on turrky exports to usa
Much respect for Tun Mahathir Mohammed! Malaysians are very fortunate to have such a leader who came back to rebuild his country. Praying for his welfare. May Allah SWT keep him healthy. He stands tall as a beacon of hope for other countries whose leaders may share similar vision.
what a really beautiful interview, from Tun M's standpoint. his answers are incredibly diplomatic, yet firm. his mind is incredibly sharp as well for that age, I am so much in awe.
We never been to dependent on anybody. We want friendly relationships with any country. We want america to prosper becaise prosper America is the best market for Malaysia. Despite the arguments with China, we are making adjustment for China. Neo- colonialism, economic war everything is discussed. Thank you Mr. PM from Pakistan
Fantastic interview questions and manner, but adroit politician Mahathir evades the critical questions well. Malaysian people well selected their leader, Mahathir is one of the great politicians in modern history, he is the honest person and loving his people and nation wholeheartedly. I hope, Malaysia which is the only democratic nation in south-east Asia and has humble and generous but also cheerful and talented people will continue to peacefully prosper and keep the leading role in the Muslim world. Love from Korea.
@R TTT well, good job for not backing down when our PM speak his thoughts. Not that anyone cares what you do nor does it have any significant impact or meaning anyway. We will still support our PM while you live miserably drowning in hate for him.
im here to praise this interview lady - Ghida Fakhry who is soft spoken with sharp questions. She knows how to push people's button at the same time knows where to stop. Unlike CNN Amanpour / Quest often put people into awkward position assume they have succeeded to push someone off the cliff.
I like her. She's pleasant enough, even when trying relentlessly to put words in his mouth. Knows when to stop pushing. Mahathir has decades of experience manoeuvring around tricky and provoking questions. Not easy to bait him.
@Kitty ya aku tau tu tipu daya dia... Dia xnak pun bersekongkol dengan DAP... tapi ada agenda lain kan... Aku tau dia baik tapi apa yang dia dah buat tu dah lebih dah
The topic of leadership is a touchy one. A lot of leaders fail because they don't have the bravery to touch that nerve or strike that chord. Throughout HIS incredible acts of kindness and bravery that HE gives us hope of life. A politician thinks of the next election. A statesman 👍TUN plan of the next generation.
What's up with this interviewer. Why do you keep cutting and not letting him finish answering? I know that 93 years old man is owning your questions with a smile and you got impatient to move on before anyone realised you got rekt. Even Kevin Rudd was more polite and he is someone who has lead a country before. I know you are frustrated because your provocative questions wasn't having an effect on the old man. He just smiles and answers. Be real I mean to this dude you are younger than his grandkids but he still took his time to play around with you playing snl.
Tun.Dr Mahathir Mohammed was born in the late 1920s, now hes 96 years old. In 2018 Mahathir was 94 years old. Mahathir promised that 🇲🇾 Malaysia Would be a developed country in 2020, He finally resigned in 2020 as the world oldest PM to give Anwar ibrahim to lead the country but failed, He legacy remains legendary.
Well even Nelson Mandela ask him Dr Mahathir how he could achieve peace in Malaysia with more than 1 races.. even he take than many years fot the white and black races to achieve peace between them..
His answers are to the point, no hanky panky. Well done Sir. I like your straight forward answer "no meeting with the President without 2nd thought". Allah bestow long life on you.
I'm proud that our PM is so vigilant with the tough questions and did not back down on them unlike some other...... ahem ahem.......cough cough ...... leader.
His mind has the intelligence and savvy ness that make me aware of my inability... nevertheless I’m empowered because of you, Tun .. you inspired my mind and my soul. Ahhhhhh, I cannot get enough of your point of view and vast knowledge !
She attempted to ask "trick" question to Tun regarding our Government point of view with Trump, China leader and etc. However, Tun's answer are always spontaneous and smart. However he dare to tell the truth from his mind if the world leaders act differently from its supposed to do. Tun...no one can replaced your legacy and the way of your thinking. I'm greatly proud of you as our PM7 and a Doctor in the House. He's the one who we can give our faith for Malaysian betterment in future. May Allah bless you.
Dear Dr M, I was once not your supporter. But I'm now. Thank you for coming back to politics and become our 7th PM. To save Malaysia. Little bit frustrated when you decided to step down after 2 years. At the same time I understand the importance of keeping to your promise. All the best Dr M.
Mahathir is a very good leader. But he cannot work alone.. sadly.. the rest of the cabinet members.. the officers.. the government servents and even the people are not that capable like him and work hard like him. There are of course hard working malaysians.. but.. its gonna be hard to develop and propel this country if many malaysians are just lazy.. and want the easy way out.
There is currently no known risk associated with being in the same room at a funeral or visitation service with the body of someone who died of COVID-19.
you are indeed GREAT Sir....what a great message being simplified to the other leaders of the world...Thank you Tun M...you make us Malaysians proud...real proud!!!
