Yes, last year nag ka issue na chip shortage dahil sa series of lockdown sa China, but it doesn't affect too much sa price. Celeron based laptops SRP before range from 15k-18k, pero today 21k (depende sa brand) .

Sir Christian, ED Tom was my former boss. Aside from the price, we should ask who decided to buy laptops with Celeron processor. Was the specs provided by DepEd? If yes, then the next question to ask, why specify Celeron when intel i3, i5 and i7 are the faster processors? If these processors were not available at that time, PS will ask DepEd if they are amenable to Celeron. Fyi, DepEd is represented in the Technical Working Group and the Bids and Awards Committee at PS-DBM. The award is only recommendatory. It is DepEd that approves the award.

Nakapagtrabaho ako sa gocc dati. Ang mga office supplies nmin dun kinukuha sa psdbm monthly nag rrequest kami. Napansin ko nga mumurahin ang mga supplies tulad ng ballpen. Kinukuha kasi ng govt pinakamura para makatipid kaya pag ayaw nmin sa ballpen galing sa supply nmin bumibili nalang kami ng sarili nmin😀.
