Celine is certainly my most favorite singer, celebrity, artist, woman (after my mom), and person (after my mom again :p) in the world. Some people might complain her voice recently, but I won't. She's still amazing to me.

I agree, the only singer I know of with anything approaching 5 octaves is (or was) Prince, including his very capable falsetto. M Jackson was up there too, but I honestly think 5 is a stretch for Celine. But regardless, she's makes everyone of her notes work!

Thnx, I know what being a soprano means, that's exactly why I asked, coz I read once that she was cosidered a mezzo and I know what kind of training she had... but like I said she is amazingly talented and there's is not too much difference between sopranos and mezzos, her hight note can easyly fit a soprano range ;-) Thank U.
+AZ Starwatcher Yes he is bilingual. He made an emotional speech at his dad's funeral in both English and French, very mature for his age. However, I'm surprised that he has a French-Quebecer accent in his English... I mean he grew up in the States, so I wasn't expecting him to have an accent like his mom =S
I agree. Considering also he grew up mostly in the States, I felt like her fabricated his accent. His French one was as Québécois as they come though lol
Tangiia Enjoy But how can she fabricate his accent? I know a lot of Asian kids who grew up in Canada don't have an asian accent in their English, and they are perfectly bilingual... My guess is that he's homeschooled and maybe in French, so that might contribute to his accent =S But yea his French is very Quebecois haha
5 octave soprano? Where the heck are they getting their info from? lol. She has a ton of range but I don't think she has 5 octaves and I'm pretty sure that she isn't a soprano either.
Jeff The tessituras of her songs are more of a 2nd soprano. Her chest voice is pushed up and her head voice is not utilized as much. Same with Whitney. Mariah is (was) more of a soprano. Her tessituras are placed higher.
5 octave soprano? I really don't think so! Celine cannot hit those whistle notes like Mariah. I would say Celine has 3-4 octaves. Anyways, I'll always be a huge Celine fan and I occasionally sing because you loved me(my favorite song of hers).

+ThePakita111 she does NOT have a five octave range. The lowest I've heard her go was A2 and the highest Eb6 that is more than 3 octaves and less than 4. Of course her actual range is not always shown in performances but it shouldn't really be that different. She might have 4 octaves tops. And sorry I don't speak French but I went on google translate and read the whole thing and it simply says she has a 5 octave range with no proof or explanation whatsoever. Much like this video. Don't think I'm hating though. I love her she's my favorite singer of all time.
