Rwanda, 18 years i lived and worked in Africa, but there is no place like Rwanda. My wife and me stayed at this place for a weekend. Even driving there from Kigali is an experience. We lived in Rwanda for nearly 2 years and to leave the place was not easy for us.

I've travelled for 2 years and Rwanda was just unexpected; my top destination. I stayed in an expensive lodge but I caught the local buses to get around. That opening shot with the hills in mist and the music - perfect video. Well done.

I feel like its not good to compare beautiful areas on Earth Every continent has beautiful places Those tower like mountains in China The Rockies and Appalacians in North America The Amazon in South America The Alps and Fjords in Europe The Great Barrier Reef in Oceania Comparing them is a waste of time. Everywhere has beautiful places. Don't make it a competition

When you visited, was there any mention of the genocide in 1994? Is there any commentary of its effects?

The political situation out there is similar to Zimbabwe under Mugabe. The president keeps a very tight rein on the media, does not allow charities and aid agencies into the country and rules through bribery and fear. There are also current rumblings of discord with Uganda which may or may not lead to military action.

There are thusounds videos, documentaries, news on genocide of 1994 on youtube and webs only if any new thing you want to talk about...even if it is Rwandans who killed each other the muster minds are all outsiders, most from those so called GREAT COUNTRIES....while fighting for the so called their properties(languages, colonial countries...minerals, stategical places) Peaple are lovery between themslves.

Rwanda is so peaceful that I walk on the streets at midnight with my phone and laptops without fear of robbery. Get your facts right before commenting. Politics of hate is wasting your life.

Have you been to Africa to experience it? There are just about 3 out of 54 countries in African that are at war and most of the wars are very isolated in remote areas. So dont come to that conclusion except you have experienced it yourself!!!

@Johannes Kraut Well you are talking about a couple of thousands of immigrants from maybe about 2 or 3 countries compared to about 1.5billion Africans from 54 countries that live and thrive on the continent. I assure you if all Africans wanted to escape to Europe, it would have been overwhelmed. Africa is very safe (except for a few hot spots) and the people are so welcoming and friendly. That is what the early Europeans took advantage of and exploited.

Europe at a time in its history was the most dangerous place to live. And at a point lost 100s of millions of people to unspeakable cruelty and violence. Africa has lost a tiny fraction of that due to tribal wars which was due to resource control issues. The Europeans divided Africa into plots without considering language (over 2500 languages) and cultural differences therefore causing friction. African is already appreciating its diversity and learning to live in peace with itself. So you cant compare Africa and Europe

@Johannes Kraut I don’t think anyone is claiming there was no genocide in Rwanda or that it was gentle; it was atrocious, just as you imagine it. So why dispute something no one has said? All they’re saying is that the country is at peace. And it’s true. Crime? Corruption? There exist international institutions whose job is to measure that. And they consistently rank Rwanda among the countries with the least crime and corruption in the world!

Thank you for another lovely video, but in view of the political situation there, lack of human rights and government intervention in the media, as well as their refusal to allow international aid agencies into the country, let alone the past genocide, it's not a place I'd want to support. I suspect the One&Only may have to pay significant bribes just to allow the hotel to exist. While one is always conscious of the advantage of providing work for local people, those who are really raking it in are government officials. They allow animal sanctuaries to prove they are doing good, while letting down their own people.

this place looks so lush and green...i heard that this place is said to be one of the cleanest in all of Africa? 5;16 the entrance here i like that on one side is stone and the other is artwork..very contrasting. Really love this little lounge area 10:25 . Love the bedroom area and all the accent pieces and the drapery and dark browns..makes it looks very comfortable and bathroom is stunning. Really lovely stunning footage of this property, i think next time i will sneak away in your suitcase...hehehe...jokes..

I watch your videos for a while now and besides the great work you do in filming and music choice I just want to say a big THANK YOU!! I live a very stressful life and sometimes I can’t cope and have big anxiety and panic attack’s and your videos are literally the only thing that helps me calm... when I see the nature the beautiful architecture in combination with the calming music it’s sooo calming!
