Oh man, I truly messed up in so many areas on this game. 1st time playing OPR Fantasy. But, only get better with rules by playing more games. I hope you give this a try. Good system, and you can use the rules for historical, too. Take care.

Entertaining battle report. Prefer to have turns talked through, but captions are fine. Love the sound effects, as well - my small terrier went nuts every ti e the Troll growled… Pretty sure you are playing some rules wrong (or I am, 😂). Will watch again, double-check, and add another post if so. Cheers,

Yes. It brings a little more life to the games. BUT, more time editing. I'll try to keep doing it. But, may be one or two without it. Ha! Thank you for dropping in. I've been subbed to your channel for years! Keep at it and Take Care.

I’m at the 13 minute mark. Here is what I have so far… . Halflings move 4” when they Advance, and 8” when they Rush/ Charge, normal movement is 6”/12”. Slow reduces these by 2” and 4”, respectively;* . When moving, models may never move through other models or units, even when charging;** . Sergeants only add +1 to their own rolls, not the unit they are attached to; . As far as I can tell, in Skirmish games, units do not make Morale Checks if they lose a combat. Morale Checks only appear to happen at the end of a round, when the army has lost half or more of its number of starting units if a unit loses a combat, it retreats by one inch. If one side destroys the other, they may consolidate, and move up to three inches in any direction. I think you are confusing the rules of the standard game, with the rules for the Skirmish game, here? . I believe you only test for Wound Effects (Shaken/ Knocked Out) when a unit is reduced to a single model, and/ or a multiple-wound model is reduced to a single wound.*** I’ll stop there. It’s hard to get all the rules right, when playing solo - especially when you haven’t played many games. It’s much easier to get, and keep, the rules straight, when you have an opponent, as you will each be making sure the other isn’t getting advantage by not plating the rules as intended. I know I played a bunch of things wrong in my first six or so solo game (and probably am still playing some things wrong…) Please don’t let this discourage you from making more battle reports! Your minis and scenery are awesome, and I find you easy to listen to, and follow. Cheers, *Assuming there is no other modification to their moves, for being Halflings. **This is in the advanced rules, and not in the free rules, so it is not an error as such - more a best practice for if/ when you move to the “full” game rules, to not have to “unlearn” this. ***This seems odd, but I believe this is how it is meant to be played.

@Wolf359inc Thank you for the help. I'm sure as I play more, I will get a better handle on the rules. Yes, I was jumping around from skirmish and advance rules a bit. I think I will play the skirmish games with the advance rules. Seems easier to understand. Either way, I'm having a blast and thank you for taking the time to point some things out. Take care and more OPR on the way.

@@MiniWarMutt as the rules for the “main” games, and Skirmish games are so similar, but have subtle, distinct, differences, I am thinking about making some quick reference sheets, listing the main differences between the two types of game. That should help me. Will put them up on the Board Game Geek files section for OPR, when done - might help others. Cheers,
