One Piece - 1x1 Romance Dawn - Reaction 

I gotta say, having never seen the anime nor read the manga, nor knowing anything about the story, I’ve really been enjoying this show so far. So much weird fun. Definitely a style that takes getting used to but if you’re in the mood for some campy cartoony action it’s easy to just let it take you for an adventure.

Zoro did mention that barouques works tried to hire him when he was fighting them in whiskey peak.

Careful of the live action, although it covers episodes 1-45 in the anime, it does spoil some things that only happen in the anime around episode 300. Also, if you are watching One Piece anime, post reactions of episodes or a review at the end of an arc. I would watch that.

The performances by the British actors are pretty good 🤔 Especially the guy who plays Garp is very Shakespearean

IMHO this is the best anime live action since Rurouni Kenshin, Matt Owens and the writing stuff were able to capture the spirit of one piece and it's wacky world. Also certain things were changed to help translate the anime into live action, an it's good thing to have oda(series creator) not only involved but also have final say for this show. And Oda hand picked the cast to perfection..... Well except for the casting of Benn Beckman idk what he was thinking there lol 💯😂 All in all this was a great first season for the east blue saga, hopefully this does well so that we can get a season 2 an see the Alabatsa saga.

This live action are more based on the manga version than the anime. And the One Piece Manga Creator Eiichiro Oda himself is involved in this live action production. Luffy actor, Inaki (read In-nya-ki), is chosen by Oda himself after watching several audition videos because Oda see Luffy in Inaki (Inaki also has meet directly with Eiichiro Oda in Japan).

where are you guys up to in the anime?? do you know about Garp the vice admiral?? if not there's actually a quite big spoiler about luffy and Garp in the live action that doesn't reveal in the anime until pretty late (episode 492).... just a heads up for you guys....

Oda the writer when watch it thing said I image you as Luffy when I drew it also said I am Glad you born to be Luffy. The sets if watch when first said they built them.

This is more of an adaption / condensed version of the Manga. The anime changed some stuff, so don't really go in comparing it 1 to 1 with the anime. And they did cut some stuff thatd been too hard for audiences from the Manga. Like Zorro was originally introduced in the Manga a different way. But yeah. Just a heads up. From watching the anime you'll definitely catch things as the show goes.

Would you guys recommend someone who hasn't seen the anime to watch this? I'm interested I. Watching since it's so big right now. Feels like I'm missing out on something.

You should stop at episode 3 because episode 4 is something that is not revealed until the end of water 7 arc which is like around episode 260-300. But if you don’t mind, you may continue

My only gripe is the height accuracy 😂 like I know who’s 9’4" ??? But at least enhance Morgan with cgi like how they made josh Borodin is 5’10" and with cgi he’s a whopping 8 ft 3 inches imagine captain Morgan that size goooooly that’d be terrifying

Fiction titled words like this always confuses me. Shows like Ahsoka and LOST are easy to figure out what they are about, easy to tell what the single broad main concept of the show is. About a person named Ahsoka, or about a person or a group of people who are lost. Easy! When something's called "One Piece" my brain is like.... one piece of WHUT!? Could be ANYTHING! lol So confused. It just prevents me from even attempting to be interested because my brain doesn't know where to even start.

I've watched the whole series, but I didn't like it, most because of script and some characters' mischaracterization. The Arlong Park arc that is the best anime's arc of East Blue Saga it's the worst on the series, and the emotional scenes is not as impactful as on anime, but if the series bring new people to see the anime or read the manga and enter the amazing world of One Piece it's worth it! Hug for you guys!
