The awesome thing about Luffy's crew is they all have their own goals. They're all good friends and no one is the boss. They do their jobs and follow Luffy's orders but Luffy doesn't boss around and order things unless it's needed. They all respect their captain and the parts where they fight their captain and beat Luffy up just shows that Luffy's good at heart and that even if he is the Captain, he doesn't treat his crew as his underlings but as his friends.

I think zoro is the best of the crew but sanji isnt far behind. Its just that zoro actually has a lot more motivation to better himself.
