The rest of the Cross Guild thinks Buggy is playing 5D chess. Crocodile and Mihawk think Buggy's playing poker worse than anyone has ever done it. Buggy knows he's been playing the world's longest game of chicken and he keeps getting dragged back in.
@@davidortiz3094 I never said the man was a dumb fighter, but he’s still wondering when he’s going to see that Sogeking guy again, Usopp would love him.
I've met Tekking a few times at conventions and each time he still seems genuinely surprised by the amount of people who are fans of him really humble and nice guy have fun at the con.
Tama, Bonney, Rebecca, Chimney, Aisha and even the little girl from the bar near the marine base where he recruited Zoro. Luffy has always had moments with little sister characters
@@Shori948 I don't disagree but to me Momo is like the Vivi of the post time skip. He's the male princess that sneakily came aboard the ship and really intermingled with the crew after already being a big piece of the World. Again, you aren't wrong though
@@CrystantemumI'd say this time is more mature though. This time he speaking as a yonko (someone who at the top lifting someone up) and helping someone else get stronger in his own way of training
The final double page spread is essentially all the winners from the Egghead arc. Luffy has escaped, Shanks defeated Kid, Blackbeard defeated Law, Buggy has resolved to go for the One Piece, Kuzan defeated Garp, Koby has escaped, Sabo and Dragon are beginning their assault on the WG, Akainu awaits his enemies, Figarland has eliminated compassion from the Celestial Dragons.
Luffy is blissfully unaware of almost everything but you make him aware of something he is going to learn. You show him a newspaper he will learn to read it routinely especially after how he found out about Ace. However he learns especially fast when he is given something to fight or play with.
How are there 1121 chapter review videos, and you STILL come up with new ways to begin essentially every single time? This is my favorite one yet haha the jacket is sick
Tekking is the GOAT. I NEVER watch or Read One Piece. I entirely and Completely consume the story through his personality. I wonder if there are others like me
...Huh, I just realized something. All those people Luffy had attack their fears are connected to pink. Coby, Shirahoshi, Rebecca, and Bonney all have pink hair, and Momo turns into a pink dragon. I wonder if that's intentional.
If I had a nickel for every time a old guy resurges the search for the one piece, I would have 2 nickels. Which isn't much but it's weird it happened twice
Leave it to Oda to have someone say basically what's been repeated as an anime intro for the longest time and still make it hype. The Liberating Nika Punch is really a microcosm of Luffy's effect on the world in the end. He's gonna do a lot of the work, but he'll inspire everyone to be freer than ever.
Whether he dies or not, Oda drew Saturn with the plain white eyes that usually indicate a complete knockout/defeat that there is no coming back from for a while
I wonder if this is a subtle hint that they take real damage by getting hit by multiple people/multiple haki hits. Like the reason they are immortalish is due to negating and reverting some Haki, but if you get hit simultaneously with different levels of Haki one of those hits will strike true
@@CrystantemumInteresting take. My headcanon however, is that goroseis are all semi-immortal. Because yokai feeds on life-force, so gorosei somehow *eats people life-force to add to his own. Luffys gatling/barrage attack is actually one of the best way to kill saturn. (think of it like a mix of big moms df + hawkins df. Or better analogy: just like philosopher stone from fullmetal alchemist, the regen & long life is actually from thousands of people sacrificed for the stone. So in this case, each time a gorosei suffered fatal wounds & regen, their "reserved life-force" take the hit, and eventually depletes & then they can be killed)
@@Zagref7937 I like this as well. I wonder if the dark tassel on Lucci and Kaku's awakenings have something to do with this. Lucci has had his Devil Fruit for a long time so awakening makes sense, but Kaku has only had his for 2 years so you could definitely be onto something here and I hope my own headcanon goes along well with it
Crocodile and Mihawk are begrudgingly witnessing the blind foresight Buggy has when it comes to the world. They cannot deny that, on the contrary to their opinions, going for the One Piece is the wise choice.
I highly doubt any of the Blackbeard pirates (at least the captains) are truly loyal to Blackbeard. Even BB himself said they are only together for a common goal.
Oda's paneling this chapter was INSANE. "Those who are closest to the truth.." Lining up all those important bits of dialogue with the corresponding panels, made everything hit with the Bonney scene. As we see Nika and his closest followers beginning their journey of liberation.
13:33- Marco thinks of Whitebeard when the Land of the Gods is mentioned. It's one thing to think about the Lunarians, but it's another for Whitebeard to be shown right after Kuma, a Bucaneer to be shown. Methinks Whitebeard might be a Bucanner descendant
I'm sure this could also be in reference to a conversation about God Valley (where the Celestial Dragons may have come from originally) which ends up talking about how they overthrew the Gods from the Red Line
@@Crystantemum god valley was an island in the west unaffiliated with the government that the tenryuubito took over and kill everyone their. They took offense that they called it after god.
I feel like Whitebeard being a buccaneer actually makes a lot of sense. His entire deal and dream, even as a younger pirate, apparently was to just have a family. So why would he become a pirate? The pirate business isn't really the most family friendly business and staying a civilian probably would've made this a lot easier. The guy seems to be more of the type to just open an orphanage. But if he was a buccaneer he wouldn't have had a choice but to become a pirate. And dreaming of having a family would be very understandable, considering his "real" family might've actually been killed by the government.
The one piece being ice cream makes sense. Roger got there too early because it’s a McDonald’s ice cream machine and it’s been “down” since the void century
I think its gonna be a Bronze statue of a Buccaneer sized Buggy-lookalike, or at least they'll have the nose, with the chopsticks in nose and the stretched face. A clown being the Sun God that spreads joy is on brand and them dying laughing about it could be them realizing their little recruit who just got sick right before they made it (suspicious) is a direct descendant of Joy-Boy. Buggy is one of the true pirates of the series with his desire for treasure. He's comedy gold. The World knows him, not just from being a Warlord or his delivery service but from the stupidity he did at Marineford. Something thats also subtle to the buccaneer thing is that he uses his fruit to make himself seem giant and more imposing. The more I think about this the more I can see his inclusion from the nigh start of the story resulting in something of this level
@@jamiekeogh5083 I'd love for the Straw Hats to go through the hassle of finding the 4th road poneglyph. Only for them to get to Laugh Tale and Buggy just happened to stumble upon it because the bracelet he got from Luffy happened to be a secret key to it or something like that. Just some "god damn it" nonsense
True, but he also had crewmembers, the ones Nami dupped and stole the ship of, out looking for treasure. It also said he was testing the Buggy Ball so I don't necessarily think he was destorying towns. I think he took a town over as a base of operation to stock up before heading to the Grand Line
I imagine the World Government wishes it had left Vegapunk alone. Honestly, they would’ve been better off not trying to kill him. Now Vegapunk has unleashed the real shitstorm.
I feel like he would have found out even more stuff that he already knew if he kept going at it, and he might have shared everything he knows with the Revolutionary Army too. The Government wanted to cut the problem directly from its roots, but they forgot the plant they just killed was a mandrake
what will people even do with his info? You think people who didn't woke up from roger or whitebeard would take vegapunk advice and now become pirate or something?
@@ConfusedBear. I imagine that the whole world is sinking will definitely cause chaos. Hell, Roger’s declaration during his execution did create many a pirate.
@@stevenchoza6391 definitely cause chaos but what can it even lead do? do people will start drinking more water to prevent this? No one can do anything with this information. The only people who can do anything are long already on this journey. Such people will neither be motivated nor depressed enough to stop their journey. I personally can't see any effect of the whole speech tbh. How will it even affect the world at all?
I love that Marco remembers what white bread said that there are gods living up on the redline. This is the craziest chapter. Keep up the good work tekking
2:40 About the ice cream theory... Now that we know that the mother flame is an actual flame, maybe Joyboy's treasure is an eternal ice cream that extinguishes the flame too.
God this was such a fantastic chapter! I did not think we would see Skypiea but of course, we did anyway. I figured Oda would wait to show The Red-Haired Pirates, Cross Guild, and the Blackbeard Pirates until the very end of Vegapunk’s message so I think it’s over. That final spread may be the best in the entire series. I think the silhouetted figure is likely the strongest God's Knight. Given his age, Garling may be the leader but I don't think he's the strongest anymore. Or The Man Marked By Flames. I hope VIZ goes with the title “The Ebb and Flow of the Ages”. In Japanese, it’s identical to the wording in Chapter 100; if not, it seriously loses its impact.
Everyone around that shaded figure is World Government related in some capacity. I like your theory but I'd also love for it to be the Leader/Creator of the Sword faction of the Navy
Whitebeard did say as he was dying that the government is scared of the war that will engulf the world in 1 day... Definitely references a world word or a battle that happens across the op world
He may just move like a water strider type spider and be able to walk on top Which wouldn't really make sense given his size and shape, but neither does brook, recovering teeth by drinking milk, or half the Dino zoan shenanigans lol
What a fantastic chapter Egghead has been great 3 double page spreads in one chapter we're eating good this week Kizaru still lying down after being tossed out by Luffy shows Gear 5th power is absolutely bonkers and is no joke Love the growth from Luffy letting Bonney attack Saturn first instead of doing it alone (That little Bonney flashback made me emotional) The most surprising thing about the last double page is seeing names like Koby and Kuzan being relevant in finding the One piece and not Kidd or Law
Sounds like Vegapunk pulled a Whitebeard "The One Piece is REAL!!" moment. He's telling people to go out to sea! If Imu plans to flood everything, Vegapunk is increasing people's chances of survival!
The One piece will have a device (maybe the mother flame as well - we still know little out it. Could be the same thing) able to fuse all Ancient Weapons making it a kaiju.
As another comment says, it would finally make sense why Newgate became a pirate if all he wanted was a family. He litterally had to, because as a civilian descendant of the buccaneers, he and his family would have been murdered by the world government.
I read all of the flashback pieces as being from Bonney's point of view as she amps herself up to hit Saturn. Including the one of Kuma asking Vegapunk about his blood.
Remember before, we saw someone talking to the gorosi and everyone thought it was shanks but we couldn't see his scar. Now another that looks like him gets introduced. What is it was never shanks but this dude that was talking to them.
the scene with whitebeard and marco happened before, it was shown during wano as a flashback to when they describing the lunarians from marcos perspective
That sword that the mysterious person is holding is a saber, and while its true that Shanks and Figarland do wield sabers, they aren't the only ones, Vista does as does X Drake and Vice admiral Onigumo( the dude with the spider DF that uses to hold 8 swords). So there is a significant chance that that person is not related to Shanks or Figarland.
With regards to Akainu Oda did say that if he was up in the main character in the story, it would take him about a year to find the one piece so he counts
It was cathartic to see Jaygarcia Saturn being sent flying by Luffy and Bonney after all the crap he had done and deserved it. Obviously he can regenerate but his pride will never recover.
What if One Piece is a remote controller for all 3 Ancient Weapons. Perhaps a crown that can be used to control? The crown also symbolizes Kingship. Pirate King.
I believe at this point we can assume Elbaf is the entrance to Laugh Tale island. This would explain why the Marines are reticent, as well as how war-loving giants that live for centuries remains mostly in their island… what wars are they fighting? I think it's connected to the entrance to Laugh Tale itself, and that their major warriors can kill the Gorosei and Imu, but are kept there for some reason/war.
Even 23 chapters later, I am still thoroughly upset with what happened to Ginny. Being violated by an evil monster (being the Celestial Dragon she was forcibly married to) for 2 years, being experimented on by a Cow Spider Demon, and dying with Kuma not hearing her last words saying “I love you. Always have and always will.” Kuma is dying a virgin and never getting his first kiss. Kuma got experimented on and turned into a practically lifeless cyborg. His daughter isn’t even of his own blood and as a result, his entire bloodline stops here now that Ginny has passed away. There really is no happy ending by here. Every last bit of this is just pure unadulterated sadness that not even God can fix. Even in the afterlife there is no marriage, sex, or procreation so Kuma can’t even experience those pleasures he lost there (and neither can Ginny for that matter). At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if Kuma was banished to hell once he dies given how much pain and suffering he’s endured already. Although at that point, you might as well just be banished to there if those aforementioned things will not be present in the afterlife. I want that Celestial Dragon who violated Ginny to finally get his comeuppance that he SUPREMELY deserves in the story in the most satisfying way imaginable.
@@membersonly807 It shouldn't be like that. Every single one of these situations should not only be resolved but be resolved in the most satisfying way imaginable (especially when it comes to the loving couple). Whether that be in real life or in the afterlife it should be this way.
This chapter went hard. Oda is trying to expose the deep slate of our world. We need a series decoding one piece to fully understand the real history of our world that has been hidden.
@Divine_Sacred_33 yes, oda is trying to expose the real history of our world through a fictional setting. So we know who really pulls the leavers of power and controls the world.
He never actually agreed too. Miss. Buckin asked him too, but he even told her that he needed to stay to protect the island or the same thing might happen again. I think he may have asked another former member of the crew to help Weevil. Maybe Vista or Jozu
The global war would be kingdoms fighting for the highest elevated lands since the smallest islands would flood quickly. We saw it a couple chapters ago with the massive flooding 2M did
Tekking, I just wanted you to know that I started watching Morj, GLR, and brago around the same time I started watching you for chapter reviews/reactions. I primarily now only watch your reaction because of how entertaining and lively it is. Thank you for making a forty two minute video. I just wanted to let you know that I'd probably take a break from one piece if you weren't keeping me hooked every week. Keep up the great work man.
21:29- If Saturn comes out of the water- since If Peter eating the Seastone made bubbles or Warcury potentially jumping into the water already hint something's off- if he comes out of the water, he's definitely not a Devil Fruit user- likely some sort of regenerating demon in human form- or not a conventional Devil Fruit user with some sort of weird bypassing power- because it breaks the major weakness of Devil Fruit users. If he somehow dissolves all Gremilns or Wicked Witch of the West style, then he's definitely not human either- the physical embodiment of the Devil Ushi-Oni. In any case, we're getting our answer very soon.
Throwing this out there at the secrets of the one piece is a big hole much like Ernie’s lobby or Lucia kingdom and the secret is everyone’s already on cloud islands. Rogers treasure is everything that is sunken through the ocean floor to the world below.
My theory when it comes to the One Piece. I believe Buggy will find it first, either by seriousness or as a joke then loses it until getting it back at the end, with possibility of being useless. Akainu will end up being given by Imu and ends up being bettayed, used as a tool, or ends up fighting with Luffy while Imu has it, to be the final enemy. Shanks will fight along with the strawhats separately with his crew but ends up Betraying Luffy and the others. Dragon, I'm not so sure yet Teach will end up almost having the OP in his graps but ends up being defeated by having some of the treasure's power or believes it is the treasure.
Honestly, the Egghead arc has been good. It had like 5 parts. Each part should be called : Part 1: The Battle Royal of the New World Part 2: The Truth reveal the events of The Reverie Part 3: The Tragedy of Saint Part 4: Plants fall:The Battle of Egghead Part 5: Can you hear me?
My absolute favorite part of the double Nika Punch is the fact that Luffy is just playing support for Bonney. If you look at where each his punches land in the panel, most of them are hitting Saturns legs/around his center (and one on the head). He's keeping Saturn from counter attacking or blocking and leaving him open for Bonney to land her attack. Heck, even in the first double page, where they're just winding up the punch, that's the case. Bonney is front and center, meanwhile Luffy, while drawn larger, is slightly colored in and off to the side so he doesn't catch your eye as much. This is her moment, Luffy is just making sure nothing gets in the way of that. The whole situation is just Luffy helping a young girl get revenge on her tormentor, and that feels so good to see.
I do find it interesting that the 3 people that said the one piece is real/go for it did it when they were dying. But also from different perspectives. Roger did so of the past wanting it to be in Joy Boy time. Whitebeard did so of the present saying the one piece is real. Vegapunk of the future talking about the world flooding and whoever gets it decides the world fate/future. Probably a stretch but still find it interesting.
My biggest take-away from this chapter is that Marco isn't with Miss Buckin heading to see vegapunk. It really seemed like they were setting that up during our cut over there
16:52 I am pretty sure that was the amount Nami spent years gathering to buy her town from Arlong. Also, we actually focus on 4 races, not 3. He already showed Shirahoshi, so it wouldn’t make sense to show her again, but she was shown and fishmen are persecuted.
Sooooo do we think some folks get bounty increases after this Arc? The Straw Hats Dorry and Broggy Shanks Blackbeard Pirates Bonney and Kuma They all have done things worth of an increase.
