As an 70s, 80s, 90s, and early 00s Anime fan its funny to see the reaction of these younger fans to "adaptations" of their favorite series. You have to remember that the manga and anime drawing styles are totally unrealistic coupled with the superhuman abilities, but with that being said the Netflix One piece crew have done a much better job in translating those ridiculous designs with more natural real world assets. I actually am looking forward to watching this series you can tell they put a lot of effort into it.
That is wild, you have seen each decade anime change. That really cool that you can see how much anime has grown and gotten polish. I agree this adaption has heart, and I am one that hasn't seen all of one piece, just a few arcs here and there. This is looking promising and I'm actually on board to watch it.
The fact that they made Gum gum Gatling look good gives me hope they'll nail everything else cause that move was probably the wackiest to adapt to live action, Arlong looks exactly like I expected honestly the fishmen aren't supposed to look pretty I would imagine them to look like that and probably my favorite thing in this trailer is Mihawk cause holy he looks amazing! the casting is perfect and the costume design is amazing
The CGI is not something to worry about anymore after watching this trailer. The most important things about every show are a story, a plot, great performances, and attractive cinematography. If they nailed all of them. I'll die of happiness.
Not gonna lie, they executed Luffy's Gatling Gun and Sanji's kicks really well! Zoro's swordplay could use some work and Arlong's CGI is lackluster but overall? It's aight. At the very least it's definitely worth a watch unlike other live action adaptations
@Pouda well, its not about the cast but the director. I agree Mackenyu swordmanship in Rurouni Kenshin is really awesome cuz that's how the director want it. But, for this LA, not sure
honestly Arlong's voice is cool asf, Luffy's gum gum gatling looks good, the sea monster looked good, the actors aren't to different from the actual characters, Mihawk looked pretty cool, overall im so excited for this.
Yeah, he's Nicholas Light TV. He started his OP journey around a year ago, had to stop and a few months ago continued. He finished half of Syrup Village (Usopp's hometown) until Reverse Mountain in a few months WHILE streaming it. So he's new to One Piece.
@@MrSupertallblackman She does, but that's only shown in a opening post timeskip and maybe a few instances here and there. He only just recently finished the East Blue Saga in a short amount of time.
Smoker was not introduced until post-Arlong. He shows up in that town(Loguetown?) that The Strawhats visit before crossing the grandline after Nami officially joins the crew. Garp being at Roger's execution does make sense given that the two have a long history, but yeah he was introduced during the segway arc featuring Koby and Helmheppo since he trained the two of them.

I usually have the right feelings about coming movies etc and it lands about the same as i feel. this one IVE NEVER BEEN SO EXCITED FOR A SHOW I DIDNT WATCH UNTIL THIS MONTH🎉🎉🎉🎉 still a naruto person but op already above bleach for me and im just binging
Now I wanna know who's gonna play Robin brook jimbae and chopper cuz this looks actually pretty good unlike the cowboy bebop adaptation I didn't even give that one a chance but this looks promising lol
I'm not a regular Netflix watcher but I've watched some of their stuff and from experience they always drop all the episodes/complete series on release day. I don't expect any different for One Piece.
prob changed the events of the story a bit to make it more fit and interesting for LA. I think their making arlong the big main villain fo the first season hence why we saw him visit buggy in his tend , I think he will arrive in baratie at the end when everything is over and will kidnapp nami
They didn't include them cause this is East Blue Saga Only. We probably se Chopper an Robin if this season do well and we ger S2 cause season 2 probably will be Alabasta
