As long as they keep the tone & heart of One Piece honestly dont care if changes were made to compensate being a live action. I think people forget liberties has to be taken to make it work & believable as possible. Like the live action Full Metal Alchemist tried to replicate the anime/manga to a tee & it ended up looking absolutely goofy. If all the major story beats are present who cares how they get there. I rather the live action translate the source material rather than replicating it.
they finally did it. they cut out all the fluff and kept specifically what the heart and tone of One Piece is. Every character you felt their love and soul.

I wish Arlong was more broad in the shoulders but I think he looks great. If they tried to have size comparisons like the manga it would just look really bad due to the CGI required on this budget. Especially when the characters are fighting.
there’s already a photo of zoro fighting morgan released in the wsj issue, and he’s significantly massive in size and height which we can see they cgi’d or did perspective shooting on. idk why they didn’t do it with arlong. his actor is significantly taller irl than iñaki who’s 5’7”, but with all the prosthetics he just looked so small and stocky because of how arlong is built. that’s my only issue with him tbh.
the moment he could criticize 1 thing he hold it like a burning iron. fishmen are done like that for good. we will all love it. these guys are just complaining because deep down inside of their brain they refuse to accept that this show may be good. and they defended it won't since day 1.
its just the height nothing else the makeup looks grea the nose is kinda weird but passable , its the height that people have an issue with, the other fishman sanji fought is bulk and also tall and looks like an actual huge fishman, along just look normal size, if arlong actor had captain morgan height( captain morgan actor is 6.5) then he would look way better
@@mercuryee they made captain morgan look intimidating though. yea hes taller than arlong canonically but both characters in the live action are smaller. morgan got a boost to his size and generally looks much larger than an actual human. most people arent complaining about the face its just that it looks like a normal dude after the head.

@@mercuryee why so salty? never said this makes the show imedialty bad. but the truth of the matter is that when most people see arlongs full body they where dissapointed. it is not some massive intimidating frame as it is in the manga and this is contrary to other characters such as Morgans who do actually look super human. this dosent mean the show is terrible but it is a concern that the main villain looks no more buff or taller than a person i would see on the street.
@@Neo-Queenserenityt2lI think I'll like Arlong so long as he portrays Arlong. The evil smile he does when Luffy says he's gonna kick his ass, that looked like Arlong. So it's not forgivable but it might be acceptable
its the heigh and him not being as bulk, the other fishman looked more accurate, I just wish arlongs actor was a bit taller and more muscular, like he has muscle its just his giant head makes the rest of the body look small in comparison
that's the difference between a s tier adaptation like LoTR, Harry Potter and Avengers Endgame, they managed to adapt the size Hobbits and Gandalf, Sauron, Hagrid and Thanos etc so well, while OPLA made arlong about 180cm (when he should be 263) who isn't bulkier than an average gym working out person, looking weaker than Mountain from GoT, or ufc fighers like Ngannou
They don't have a marvel budget.😂😂 The budget of a scene with thanos is probably the same as an entire episode of this show. Also, I salute any show that uses practical effects over cgi
