We never even see the inside of the lighthouse in the anime, so we? So this is an interesting change. It’s kinda like how the protagonists(except Usopp) never went inside Kaya’s mansion in the anime, but they did in the live action version.

Imagine if the big surprise was that it is 2024 and they have been hiding it from us because season 2 was originally planned to cover till Alabasta and come in 2025, but they've made it two cours now, so the first one is finished and ready to go later this year.

Idk about that, we know he'll be in season 2 because Buggy appears in Loguetown and S2 is covering that part. But we don't know if Buggy will appear after that in the live action. I kind of doubt it, we don't see Buggy again in canon until Impel Down

@@Marzi29 we see it a couple of times before impel down, but they're small apperiencies, after Arabasta Ace boards his ship. and then at some point between jaya and thriller bark we see him looking for captain jhon tresuere on a Mine that ends up being filled with marines and that's when he gets taken to Impel Down 😂

I wonder if maybe, since no one thinks Wapol will make a good season-long pirate villain like Arlong was in season 1, maybe Buggy will fill that slot(since, unlike Wapol, people actually *like* Buggy), like how Smoker will obviously fill Garp’s marine chaser slot, with Crocodile being a background villain for the season before taking the season-long pirate villain slot in season 3. It would be an interesting change if that’s the case.

I hope it’s actually earlier in the year. As someone who grew up with yearly seasons(which were much longer btw), a whole 2 years is too long to wait for a second season, and I’ve been saying that for every streaming show that does that(out of the ones I’ve watched, anyway). Plus, the fact that they started filming 2-3 months ago, they have plenty of time to finish both filming and post-production before 2024 even ends. So I’m guessing it’ll be more like March, instead of August like season 1 was. And they need to start making season 3 as soon as possible so they can do the Luffy and Ace(and hopefully Sabo) flashbacks with the same Kid Luffy actor as season 1.

I thought that at first too, then I just dismissed it as a way to get around the sets.

Seriously, meanwhile the less good looking ones being promoted in Hollywood
