Glad to hear you are giving OP:TCG a try. I play FAB very casually, which you know what that means, I keep a few decks laying around and watch the big tournament streams when they pop up. Viserai is my main deck, so I'm hoping Rosetta will help him out lol but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Great question, so the logic goes like this; in order to play a card from your hand in OP:TCG you rest the appropriate amount of Don and then you put that card in the zone it will be in on resolution. So for a Character you put the character on the Board and then it checks for an On Play, like 10c Kuzan, he has a blanket/static effect of -5 Cost to a Character and playing him requires you to tap 10 Don, and put him in his proper Zone, which is why he can pop a 5c as soon as he enters play (though it looks for a "0" cost playing him out allowed you to reduce everything by 5 before the On Play resolved). With Events, they won't be on the field. In order to do their effects you pay the appropriate Don and you put the card in the trash, and when it comes to resolving these Effects if the card checks for the amount of cards in the trash, the card being used will count towards that number. It works the same for Barrier, King Kong Gun, and any others like it. Hopefully that made sense, it's hard to explain, but these are the official rules that back up the idea: 2-2-5. Cards in the Event card category can have their effects activated by the card being moved from the player’s hand to the trash. 3-5-1. Character cards that have been K.O.’d and Event cards that have been activated are placed in this area. 8-4-2. When activating the effect of an Event card, trash that Event card and carry out the specified effect.

@@Vvulfrikthoughts about the RP law matchup? I’ve been struggling into it, when Rebecca feels like little value and is one of the only blockers you have access to

@@anteiku0027 Some pulls that RP Law gets and some openers just feel insane lol, so don't worry you aren't alone with that sentiment. I think countering out of the early stuff (which will also help feed the Trash and keep you out of Blocker Law Range) is probably the best step, because if you get down to 2 Life, the K&K's are now swinging full force. Starving your opponent is also not the worst idea, prioritizing board control first and foremost. What version of the deck are you running? Are you running the Stages + Brooks or another version?

@@Vvulfrik hey VV, I’m running stages and 2x little brooks and 2x big brooks, was trying out eb01 finger pistol to have an option for bonney MU, but think I can cut this. Also wondering if my deck list is too broad and so inconsistent? Also side note really agreed with your video where you mentioned that 7k bodies are the magic number into RP law, do you think 5c smoker is worth trying to tech in? Or maybe sakazuki?

@@anteiku0027 I actually really like the idea of running the Finger Pistols and the 5c Smokers, I've been meaning to give both of those a try. Smoker has a really good chance of sticking against so much in the format outside of Blue and Finger Pistol is good from top to bottom, basically filling up the Trash, playing around Basil, and just an incredible Trigger. I think you are on the right track to be honest, tell me how your playtesting goes. I'll try to squeeze some games in with some of these ideas soon too.
