The Irish Guy takes a look at every Premier League club and find each team's transfer target they are relieved they didn't sign this season, including the likes of Federico Chiesa, Jesse Lingard and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Bringing the daily Mourinho news to the Irish guy Jose mourinho is known to be very confrontational with his players to get the best out of them mentally. One of the best example of that was Ozil at real madrid. Ozil famously started dating this Italian Model in 2011 and it took a lot of focus off him on the field . Perez. The madrid owner was furious and wanted to get rid of him but Jose told him to let him have a conversation with ozil. Right before the 2011 - 2012 season Mourinho told him " Look man. About your girlfriend. I'm going to be brutal here but as a father advising his son. That girl is getting smashed by the whole AC Milan team and staff and the whole inter Milan team and staff. Sorry to tell you the truth but hey we've all been there right? So now forget about her We've got trophies to win. Football is life. Girls are everywhere all the time " The next season Ozil did his best season and madrid won the league in record breaking style. Classic jose
A small correction, Perez isn't the owner of Real Madrid, he is the president. Real Madrid is actually one of the few clubs that doesn't have an owner. Also, thanks for your Mourinho news, I'm a very big fan of him so I'm very happy to learn new things about The Special One.
Mikkel Damsgaard has not had an issue with his thigh. He's been out with an infection in his shin. It was a seriously dangerous injury. It makes sense he wasn't brought back to play 90 minutes right away. He's still an absolute baller
The guy had some awful takes here. The diss on chiesa who has been injured most the season was disrespectful and ronaldo would’ve been very good for city but oh well
I maybe the only one but I don't agree with the Chiesa slander. You can bring up stats but if you actually watched Juve the 1st half of the season he was the only one doing anything. Then he suffered a horrific ACL injury which has kept him out of the season. He's a class player and he was good far before the 'Euros'
Guy was dragging juve last year dragged italy to a win without him look at them and was dragging juve who had no forward before the juve game Chelsea where favourites for a quadruple and juve had no right to win that game. Irish guy good for news only.
6:27 - Should probably add however, despite him only scoring 7 goals, he was still Burton's top scorer this season, despite being recalled in January... The number may be low, but it maybe speaks volumes about how poor the setup was, it was a miracle he scored as many as he did.
@@G17x But that's how we do it for at least the last 10 years but Lewandowski has scored 40 goals!!! yeah and wasn't even the best Bayern player that season
Not accepting the Donny slander! If you actually watch the games and not just look at the results you’ll see Donny has been decent, he’s technically very good, and this whole shit about not being “suited to the prem” is absolute wank talk… he literally bossed prime Madrid, a very good Juventus side, and Spurs for 150 minutes, and you’re telling me the prem is harder? He hasn’t shined because he hasn’t been given a proper chance, with Ten Hag at United, Donny will flourish, MARK MY WORDS
I love the Irish Guy and I clicked to see what he had to say about Chiesa and then watched the Ronaldo part. Clicked of when he said that Ronaldo doesn't press.
Phil Foden Raheem Sterling Jack Grealish all English forwards who are further along than chords and they all play for city never mind the other quality players in England
@@ragergamer2362 freakish has been good just hasn’t had the goals and assists and the fact wingers never start well under pep they always take a year and Sterling is one of the most disrespected players he’s got over 100 premier league goals he’s only a few goals off becoming englands all time top goal scorer in the champions league
@@MMXKHXCP they are chiesa hasn’t proved it on the biggest stage just yet and hasn’t had the consistency of Sterling and hasn’t got the talent of foden
chiesa looks crazy, especially considering his age, was great in the euros, heinsight is a wonderful thing but chances are if he came to liverpool he probably wouldn’t of got injured
He makes good points about Liverpool, City, United, and Spurs; especially his point about Pep and egomaniacs. The only big one he's really worked with was Zlatan, and that DID NOT work! His Barca, Bayern, and City teams lack head cases if you think about it, barring the previously mentioned Ibra and maybe Jack Hair Gel.
That Chiesa take was stupid. If jurgen Klopp can turn bums like henderson into world class, Chiesa inside 1.5 seasons would have reached the same level as salah. Hindsight is an wonderful thing. Why not check Luis Diaz's stats at porto? why not mention salah being a flop at chelsea? All of those worked out. I maintain this and will maintain this forever - Chiesa would be Liverpool's 2nd best forward after salah and his ceiling is higher than salah. Guy's a beast. The Chiesa take was so disrespectful
video ideas: 1. Go and do footballing challenges that twitter suggests (day 2 of asking) 2. Players that didn't deserve relegation this season but their teams got relegated
Chiesa is definitely worth 100m. You can't blame the ACL injury on him can you? And you can put Robert Lewandowski in Juventus under Allegri and he would still only manage about 20-25 goals a season. Chiesa is a winger. And he was world class BEFORE the Euros but people who only watch the Prem wouldn't know that would they?
For real. Irish Guy was waffling on this one. He was actually the only one doing anything when Juve were struggling early on. And he had an amazing season before the Euros. And another great 2 seasons before that for Fiorentina
Imo long term getting rid of Ronaldo let's Juve get back to basics and Chiesa is the next in line of their talismanic frontmen, Roberto Baggio, Del Piero types.
Chiesa Is A Great Talent yes But he isn't worth 100 mill Atleast not now And yes I've watched him last season When Ronaldo was playing and he'll soon be in the 100 mill bracket
8:58 WRONG, if you’ve been paying attention Ronaldo does actually press. You’d find this man sitting at Left Back helping Telles because Rashford is too lazy to track back
When I first saw that Leicester wanted to sign Odsonne Edouard I was ecstatic that we would get a former PSG youth academy player and someone who could replace Vardy. Now... I'm glad we signed Daka over him.
Never been keen on Ronaldo, outside of respecting his footballing ability, but its nonsense to say he wouldn't have thrived at City. Manchester United have made every player they've signed in the last 6 years worse. They've all underperformed. Thought Fernandes might be the exception, but even he's fallen off this season. And De Gea's found decent form again recently. Name one other player?
"Too depressed to even do a morning poo." OMFG... brilliant stuff Irish Guy.. because any Arsenal fans out there surely would've managed at least a chuckle from that one.. even Lee I bet!
The fact that this guy only watches the premier league and doesnt know what is going outside of england blows my mind. What could chiesa do he's been injured all season? Bahahah
The fact that he doesn’t know anything about Serie A or really any other league besides the English leagues becomes more telling every time he tried to mention anything outside England lmao Like I’m not a Juve fan but Chiesa was great for them and was one of the only players performing under Allegri until he got a career ending injury just a few months into the campaign you can’t just count on goals scored to determine how good a player is… 0 nuance from him lmao
Lost respect when he said chiesa the guy got a acl injury and is unplayable when he was fit. He would of been crazy at liverpool guess van dijk is finished then
Nice video mate! I suggest you do a review of your biggest predictions. Ones that have come true or flopped. Feel like it'd be a decent video! Keep it up!
As a Brighton fan I’m glad we didn’t sign edouard. 20 mil is a risk we can’t afford for a non proven premier league player. We’ve seen what happened to jahanbaksh Locadia and even maupay to an extent hasn’t been the greatest signing either. You can’t just sign any striker with a load of hype and a high price tag and guarantee he will score 10+ goals in the premier league
8:58 Except, Ronaldo does press, A LOT. If you even watch him, he’s literally one of the most active players on the pitch. He scored a goal this season where ran all the way to his own box, clears the ball and runs all the way back to the opposition box to score. His heat maps alone show how much of the pitch he covers. And it’s damn impressive for a 37 year old who apparently “just sits in the box”. At times, he’s acted as a second LB this season because of how often he tracks back on that left flank to defend
Fbref would say otherwise. Ronaldo only makes 6.54 pressures per game which is the bottom 1 percent of the premier league. He does get those kinds of goals on occasion but his pressures more often then not are not successful. He has moments but he is by all definitions not a pressing foward. And this doesn't make him bad he's a all around striker dropping for the ball which explains the heat map, but the narrative that he pressing foward as in he presses for the team from the front as much as any other premier league foward is a lie.
@@PorkRyan Well he doesn’t play in a team that presses much. I’m sure if he played for someone like City or Liverpool and he HAD to press, he would. And obviously his pressing statistics won’t look good because not everyone in his team presses effectively either. In order for pressing to work, everyone needs to play their part or else it’s useless. You can’t bake a cake without all the ingredients. That’s why someone like Gabriel Jesus has better pressing stats than Ronaldo. Because plays with a team that understands how to press effectively so that makes his job a lot easier. But you can’t just say, Ronaldo wouldn’t work at City, just because he’s never played in that system. He’s worked in plenty of different systems under different managers and he’s adapted and shined in all of them. I’m sure he would do the same under Pep
@@datboidiego9164 ofc but as I said, whatever factors involved, he is not a pressing foward, however he is good on defence as his stats on clearences and tackles shows when the team needs him back to help he does.
What football has Irish Guy been watching?? It cannot be the Prem. Cuz ask any Man United fan why we are 6th. And only 1 name comes to mind. HARRY CAN'T DEFEND MAGUIRE.
Don’t forget Martial 2.0, sorry Marcus Rashford The invisible act, my bad, Scott mcTominay Alex telles and Diogo Dalot’s double act in showing us how NOT to cross a ball Shaw being bad prior to his injury.
There’s no way the Liverpool one was real, they have the best recruitment team in the world and they wouldn’t sign anyone for 100 million but if they did they would make 100% sure it was the right fit not base it off of one international competition
If you actually saw and got to know the talents of Chiesa on the Euros then you lack football knowledge. He was balling before the Euros had an incredible season with Juve. And before Juve he was very much looked at and admired at Fiorentina
tbh, Chiesa is good and hardworking.. if Liverpool gets Chiesa, they will not talk about Mbappe now.. With Liverpool squad, I don't think he will get injured that often.. So for Liverpool, I will say Saul Niguez too.. So many Liverpool fans wanted Saul before the season starts..
Saying city would have struggled And their style of play would have taken a hit if they signed Ronaldo While they will need to modify Their style to accommodate Halaand who Is similar to Ronaldo ( his Link up play is even more bad ) Yeah Good Except that Ronaldo would have scored 20+ And Halaand will be a flop
Wolves were supposed to sign Sven Botman, but didn't, not sure what they were thinking!!! bid 18m, got rejected and never went again!!!🤦at the time, 25m would've been good enough to land him!!! lost out on an excellent player!!!👍
If Arsenal fans are frustrated with their strikers missing clear chances, Isak would've sent them into madness. He's missed tons of chances. I mean, Real Sociedad have scored only 39 goals in 38 matches. It's a miracle they got 6th considering a meager +3 goal difference that pales in comparison to 7th place Vila-real's +26
This guy really doesn’t watch non Premier League football does he😭😭. Man said Chiesa has been struggling under Allegri when he literally got an ACL tear in January LMAO
Just to let you know that Chiesa only just became a full Juventus player, he has been on loan at Juve for the last two years… so how can the even accept a bid for a player they didn’t own. Fake News 🤣🤣
Never did or even now believe we wanted to splash 100 mil on a player, this seems like another pepe scamm to drive the price up,only one we might have wanted was Saul but he chose Chelsea and that worked out amazing for him, same as with werner ,eeems players never learn cause that was why salah went there in the 1st place, more money to the player to waste their career.it wouldnt be a shock if saul goes to spain and starts playing great again.
The thing with Chris Wood is he had a release clause in his deal that's the only reason newcastle does it they knew bid 25mill activate his release clause and they'll take away all of burnley goals they didn't have a choice but to sell him
I’d love to see Irish Guy grade each premier league club from A-F and say who their best and worst player has been this season. Also would love to see Irish Guy do end of season awards. Best player, young player, signing, coach, game, goal…etc..
