@@dirtblocksthe manga’s schedule is inconsistent. It’s mostly biweekly but retcons and breaks makes the progress slower. Plus season 2 also adapted too many chapters s1 only adapted 37 chapters while s2 had 49. With that ass pacing it’ll catch up with the manga, It should’ve ended with the tournament then season 3 stars with the hunt for garou.

Knowing the kind of world they live in, I wouldn't be surprised if the reason he got C-class was because some tester wrote his results down ambiguously or something, like 'calulation error' for the punch, and they thought it meant he was weak. Just my personal theory.
